I'll never forget driving on I-696 in the 80's and coming upon a billowing of black smoke coming from a Pontiac Fiero (working man's Corvette, they called it) and a guy shaking his head in disbelief. I wonder how these will burn after the battery is breached in any way. It's against Federal law...
Cool ! Thanks filer the quick lesson. I'm on here to learn and help, that's it. The day I don't want to learn, shoot me.
Could the air and gas mixture be too heavy on the gas if the turbos aren't spinning as much ?
Yes I did ! My cousin was a mechanic since the 70's. When I bought my 1st turbo powered vehicle, a new 2018 F-150 with the 2.7, I told him I smell gas when I drive my son to school in the morning, one mile from home. I'm not sure what exactly he said, but something to the affect that it was...
So if any automotive engineers are listening, we need a vehicle where there are live air scoops on the front of our fenders that open up when the vehicle is shuts off, along with the ones on our hoods to open up. Then we need a system that keeps the coolant and oil circulating while a high...
A few weeks ago I got in my Ranger Raptor and could swear the shifting was such that my tires seemed to bite way more in sport mode. Actually got them to chirp going from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. I work close to home and always take it out for spin before to make sure there is no fuel is left...
Hey "hand-filer" I've seen you on here alot but never heard your technique getting in your Ranger. I'm going to try your hack.
I currently put my right foot on the step first, with my heel facing inside the truck.
Then I put my left foot on the step heel facing inside the truck.
Bend my hips...
Absolutely 💯 %...!!! Every 5,000 miles. I've been using synthetic since it first came out (so you know the brand) and my engines were the same. My vehicles fall apart and my engines are still that clean and running strong with great compresssion when everything else is gone.
Thanks ! That looks pretty good. Glad I didn't get my hitch yet. I don't know my tongue weight but it's probably lighter than what you have. Do you think a 4" inch drop would work with what I explained I have ?
Will a 5" drop hitch work for the RR ? I heard a 6" is desirable. I'm going to be towing a 16' aluminum fishing boat. Boat, motor, and trailer are ~ 1500lbs.
Yes. Sorry to intrude on your thread but not many people have 2 white RR's. You'll see more on this thread below.

Hey cc1999, sorry to go off track here, but I was just wondering. Do you have the infamous paint chip above your left rear taillight, like most ? We have 2 white ranger raptors and I'm not happy with the paint chip on them. Especially seeing how I paid a slight premium for them. If you do have...
I am tall like you, and what I do, I found it easy if I put my right foot on the step, close to the front of vehicle, with my heel facing into the vehicle. Then, I lift my left foot up, do the same thing with my heel facing towards the inside of the vehicle. Then I bend my knees and hips, duck...
Looks sweet !
I had a stone chip on my wife's fixed at a place that does Rocklear and we have been contemplating on getting it done this summer if we don't get new ones.
Thank you my friend !!!
You are correct, they are better in a downpour.
When I first got my RR, I was driving in a downpour in 4A Sport mode doing 55 and because I wanted to test in response to one of these threads, I jumped on it and it got to 90 in a second and I could feel the truck wanting to do nothing but go...
My wife and I are thinking of getting Rocklear as well if we keep our 24's, if not on our 28's. We were wondering if it has a cloudy haze to it. Can you get us some pictures in the sun and different angles? Would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not trying to hijack the thread either.
