  1. 2025 vs 2024 Features List (Added/Missing)

I can use the e-shifter just not a fan If I had my way I'd have a manual transmission. Way more fun. To me the e-shifter is an answer to a question no one is asking.
  2. XLT versus Lariat

I hear you brother. Being a young 69 I expect this Ranger to last vehicle. I was sold on the Lariat with the 2.7 until it came to price. Dealerships were marking up the 2.7 5k to 10 k. With the non-negotiable markup it made the price prohibitive. I bought a Raptor for less than the dealer...
  3. UPDATE ON 2025 RANGER RAPTOR 3.0 PRO CAL TUNE??

As I understand it you have to download the tune to programer after you receive it using a Windows laptop. Having the tune on your own laptop would be optimal. If not the tune file will be on the technicians laptop and in your programmer. I do not know if Ford does updates to these tunes but if...
  4. 2025 vs 2024 Features List (Added/Missing)

I've had my RR 3 weeks , still getting used to the little shifter. I find it not all that intuitive as I drive 3 different vehicles with 2 having traditional shifters. Still hard to get into correct gear without looking at dash or shifter. Don't they say you shouldn't talk on your cellphone...
  5. UPDATE ON 2025 RANGER RAPTOR 3.0 PRO CAL TUNE??

You can pick up a Windows laptop at Sam's or Costco for very little. That way you download the software to your computer and maintain possession of it. Besides I tell my clients that use Apple to keep a Windows PC just for situations like this. This kind of thing happens more often than most...
  6. Goose Tune now available

QUOTE="pablo94sc, post: 268503, member: 7133"] Side with a liar is a strong statement. What I want to see are details. The first few posts by others have only partial info, and omitsome stuff that makes them look like shill posts. Your website shows your results, but no info about the truck you...
  7. 2025 vs 2024 Features List (Added/Missing)

I was told the same thing by my dealer. 2024 factory installed were hard wired and all 2025 are dealer installed wireless units none are factory installed anymore.
  8. 2025 vs 2024 Features List (Added/Missing)

Two shifters are used in the Ranger. A short stubby e-shifter that is not all that intuitive to use, it's approximately 4 inches high. Best description I can give you is it is more like a computer mouse that an old school shifter. It has buttons on the side which puts you on manual mode, the...
  9. Cannot License New RR from Out-of-State Dealer.

Bought my RR from a dealership in Minnesota, had it shipped to Texas. Salesman sent me the MSO and loan documents, they arrived two days after I received the vehicle. Registration was simple and straightforward. Not sure why your dealership is dragging their feet. If you don't get it I would...
  10. 2025 vs 2024 Features List (Added/Missing)

My dealer said they could color match it if I wanted it body color. For a price of course. I left mine black and fits great with the Raptor black accents on Desert Sand especially with doorhandles being body color.
  11. 2025 vs 2024 Features List (Added/Missing)

My 2010 Ford Escape has the ability to parallel park itself. Never in the 15 years I've own it have I ever used this feature. Can't believe Ford was still equipping the vehicles they build with this worthless feature. About time they dropped it as it adds to repair costs when bumper covers need...
  12. Ride Quality Inconsistencies RR

I only have a few hundred miles on my RR and have encountered the same issue. One drive is smooth the next the ride is very stiff. No changes to route or driving style. Just a very harsh ride that doesn't soften with changes to shock settings. I just thought it was still getting broken in but...
  13. 2025 vs 2024 Features List (Added/Missing)

2025 Raptor retains the stubby e-shifter but Active Park Assist has been removed.
  14. New '24 Ranger - Delivered to Dealer in December, Any Concerns?

If the window sticker is red it is a Raptor . Color is the same for stock and retail orders.
  15. New '24 Ranger - Delivered to Dealer in December, Any Concerns?

The braces add strength the bed so you can mount items to the truck bed rail like overland racks, ladder racks etc. Basically anything that mounts to the bedside and extends above it. With that build date it should be already installed. You can ask the dealer to verify it has been installed.
  16. I'm shopping and have few questions.

I see people worried about mpg. Mileage varies substantially due where you live, congestion, driving style etc. For me it came down to smileage, how much I smile per mile driven. The Raptor rates much higher than the 2.7 in that department. The mileage I get doesn't seem to matter all that much...
  17. I'm shopping and have few questions.

I test drove an XLT 2.3, a 2.7 Lariat and a Raptor. For me the 2.3 was only adequate , the 2.7 was great, smooth power, the Raptor didn't seem much different from the 2.7. That said I bought the Raptor on value considerations. It was only $2000 more than the Lariat with FX4 package. Now driving...
  18. After a year of ownership, Edmunds still prefers Ranger over Colorado and Tacoma

I test drove the Ranger XLT, Lariat and Raptor. The XLT seats reminded me of a rental car. I have owned a number of XZLT in my lifetime and usually find the trim to be mid grade with good seating. But these seats are more for a work truck XL. The Lariat seats were very comfortable. Day and night...
