I think Maverick sales being so high has to do with production numbers. With so many produced dealers are more willing to deal on them, plus Ford has put out a number of incentives all year for the Maverick.
The Ranger has gotten few incentives, even so they don't stay on the lot very long...
I hadn't tried any of the modes in the rain. My RR can be a little loose in even light rain. There is a little warning before the rear breaks loose driving in straight line but in turns it's a different story as the tear end slides out with very little throttle input. I'll try 4A the next time...
You will get a notice on the center screen saying an OTA update has been completed. You can then go to the software update screen for a description of the update Mine was completed months ago OTA but Ford continues to send me recall notifications for the update. My braking improved dramatically...
You like playing with fire if you switch to the Tundra. I lost all interest in Toyota after the Tundra engine debacle. The Tacoma has had it's share of quality issues also. You may want to consider RAM, hard to believe I feel that way but they have a lot less recalls than Ford, GM or Toyota ...
Desert Sand looks great with the graphics package. For me it was a break from all the white vehicles I've owned. Wish Ford would get their head out of their a__. Why can't Raptors get the same colors as Broncos or regular Rangers. They could offer special Raptor only colors like how Toyota does...
Too bad the Raptors did stare at rainbows. If they had we would have a much bigger color selection. It is possible Raptors were colorblind sorta like Ford.
I refused to pay over MSRP. Took a while to find what I looking for at a discount to MSRP. Got my RR in March from MN at a $2000 discount. Absolute clean deal no adds, no markups, only thing was a $400 doc fee which is nothing really. Had it shipped to Texas, it arrived 3 days after purchase...
I agree run away! From what you described it took a hard hit. Probably the owner didn't file claim and paid for repairs so his insurance rates didn't go up. He ditched it right away. So stay away.
I liked the ride of the Lariat FX4 the best for city and highway driving. Very smooth and controlled. The regular 4x4 was not bad and the Raptor a bit edger but took bumps and potholes much better. I bought the Raptor for its performance not so much for the ride quality. But the coil springs...
Ford makes decisions all the time that don't make good business sense. Look at the Lightning, huge money loser and they knew that going in. Toyota went opposite direction on EVs. Plus Toyota stayed with body on frame with the 4Runner. The cost to tool up for the Everest is low because it is just...
No big changes for the RR. Had hoped for more colors being available like red, orange, yellow etc. Some high impact colors would fit the Raptor well. I am tired of Ford's 50 shades of gray color choices.
That would be a huge hit if they replaced it. I loved my old body on frame Explorer but did not like the new unibody version at all. We bought a 4Runner instead. Maybe the Raptor version could have a Coyote in it!
I did the same comparison before I bought my Raptor this spring. My price difference ended up being about $2000 after getting 2K off MSRP on my Raptor. It made the price comparison much closer than just comparing the MSRPs. This made it a no brainer to buy the RR.
