No. As far as I know, these types of encryption are set up from the factory and each part in the vehicle has a matching key embedded in it that decrypts the the encrypted CAN message. It can't simply be pushed out via a software update.
The open pilot is still in development. The Ranger can do...
Curious what others come up with. I know Goose Gear has an option coming (maybe?). It's been listed as coming soon on their website since last June. It's pricey so might just do my own depending on what it looks like, when it's ready and how much free time I have in the coming few months.
I can't remember the arguments I read when looking into this myself, but I recall there being benefits.
It for sure pressurizes the system. If you start after an oil change without doing this and have the oil pressure gauge up, it'll be 0 for a number of seconds.
I think the better question...
Link to my exact cable is here: https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/installed-2024-ranger-xlt-openpilot-level-2-adas-blue-cruise-alternative.16134/post-247268
I routed it from behind the dash, up the driver side A pillar (there is a channel for wires, i added it in there to not interfere...
Lane changes are done by nudging the wheel. The How aggressively the lane change happens can be dialed in with blue pilot, though the adjustment is not intuitive from a "laymen consumer" perspective.
When you engage your turn signal and nudge the wheel, that initiates a lane change. I'm fairly...
Not the same thing. Stock lane keep is pretty horrible. It loses sight of lines constantly and leads to a high level of anxiety. If it works for someones needs, then it's obviously a good solution for them. Having done both, using a weight with stock lane keep is like using a brick on your...

You need a Comma 3x, with a Ford Q4 harness. They have it labeled as "ranger harness" to make it easier to find. The Comma 3x should come with an 8 degree mount when ordered with a Q4 harness. Ranger windshield requires the 8 degree...
Compatibility with this is one of the reasons I went with my 24 ranger raptor.
Took it on an 8,500 mile road trip from the east coast through colorado, utah and wyoming last September. We drive stragiht from new england to colorado in about 30 hours taking shifts and open pilot is the only way...
No mods currently unless you count a bed cover and ceramic coating.
Looking to add a light bar sometime in the near future, some frame mounted rock sliders and maybe, one day, some portals and 37's.
I just switched providers because they were raising my rates. Believe it or not, it was cheaper to separate auto and homeowner. Paying $1012 / yr for 250k/500k liability, 100k property, 500 deductible full coverage in New England. Clean record. Excellent credit score.
EDIT: This is on an auto...
Thanks! What type of grease goes in here? If it's just a simple re-pack I'll probably do it myself rather than go through the hassle with the dealership.
Looking to get some feedback from anyone with experience with this. My front driveshaft is throwing grease. I took the truck on a long roadtrip and before heading home from the farthest point I did a quick inspection. I found grease all over by the front driveshaft.
This may have been happening...
Try calling your dealership and scheduling an appt for the latest recall. When I did, my dealership also scheduled me for. J-Brace install. Might still be filtering through the system, or might be my dealer made a mistake. It came up in his system as an item for my vin under customer...
