Bent a piece of aluminum into a J or L shape so it can hook over the plastic next to the glove box. Wrapped it in PET cloth tape. Added some felt to the back of it to support the lower section and protect the trucks plastic. Stuck a mag mount onto the result.
Mag Mount...
Found a way to add a phone mag mount that is accessible but out of the way and not up on the dash. Also, easily removable. Just open the glove box and slide it out to the right.
So much this. I cringe when I see these videos of groups in "built" honda passports and subarus going down 4x4 trails. they need to get up to 15+ mph to make it up some inclines, bouncing their underside off the terrain and relying on traction control systems while their wheels spin madly in...
Isn't there a toggle switch up on the ceiling where you can set it to on, off or on with door open?
Can't help you with the displays / dash. If you're worried about the battery, bring a jump pack. The truck does have a low power mode it goes in when voltage is below a certain level. It'll also...
Personally, I'm using molle panels with molle bags.
Easy enough to install. Customizable. Removable with no permanent modification. Panels themselves don't take up bed space.

Yup. On my old vehicle they ended up having to have two people, one person in the vehicle centering the steering wheel and the other snugging up the bolts. Not sure if that was totally necessary, but that's the attempt where it came out straight.
Keep in mind, now that you're sensitive to it...
They must have the new guy doing the alignment. I haven't gotten my ranger aligned, but had this happen with an older vehicle. It's fixable, and should be easier for them considering there is a center line on the steering wheel.
Curious to see how this turns out. In the video it looked like that bed was some sort of plastic composite. The ranger bed being metal will be much more difficult to cut, but definitely doable.
Got my rails in. Will be mounting some cargo boxes on them. Got them painted up and added a nice little accent!
These are quality parts. I can't believe how light they are. I'll need to work out some flood lights for them in the future, but for now keeping it simple. Excited to use them.
It was 150 on car and driver, not sure why 170 was stuck in my head. Was the only place I could find it back when I was looking.
That document looks like it's targeted for the AUS market. We don't get a turbo diesel here, and ford sure likes to dial things back for the US market (no rear ac...
Pretty sure google confuses the ranger raptor with the f150 raptor. I believe the RR has a 170 amp alternator. I looked it up a while ago. I'll see if I can find the link.
As for the trucks needs, that is variable. I want to say you have about 30% of that 170 amps to safely play with.
It is direct injection only. How do I know? I went out to my garage and looked under the hood.
10 years from now we're still going to be talking about this.
I saw a big drop when I switched from my 04 GTI. If your vehicle has safety features like AEB and rear cross traffic alert, etc, they generally result in a big discount, to where you pay less for insurance than an older less safety equipped vehicle.
I have the Condor 2 XL, non Air. It's a great tent. There are cheaper options, and probably better quality options out there. It weighs a ton. I have it on top of a trailer. I think it's around 250 lbs. I'd not put this on my ranger if I were also doing any sort of trails.
I'd look at something...
Which company did you go with? I switch pretty much annually if they try to increase my rates more than 3%.
That's a pretty good rate. I pay about $1022 annually for my ranger raptor (Geico).
I have the same inflator, will have to pick up the mount in the future!
I have an EGO chainsaw but am probably going to switch to Milwaukee M18 14" top handle in the next year or so to simplify battery needs. Top handle seems to be more compact--haven't looked too deep into it yet to see...
