That tire is 6/10s of an inch narrower than the one 265/70 that Ford advertises online. Guessing yours has about a 1/4” gap would explain the difference.
wonder what size tire the other guy in this thread has? Still waiting on his rim offset as well
I learned a few vehicles back that screens are crap now and should come stock with a protector.
In your case I found some screens will hide the imperfections, one I found best is from PhotoDon however they do not have a premade ranger screen yet. They will take custom orders and are the same...
I've been asked to explain the offset issue. I've learned a lot in the last week, lol.
My stock tire and rim have 1/2" clearance between the tire and knunkle. Ford performance rim puts the tire right into it as shown below. Tremor rim gives more inner clearance and kicks the whole tire out...
A disclaimer is I only know my stock lariat have 1/2” space between the knuckle and tire.
The performance rims in post 1 are 1” wider and that puts the tire right on my knuckle. This rim is 42mm that pushes everything out.
my lariat may be abnormal since the other poster has these rims and fit...
So I found pretty much the same ford oem rim, different spec that should work if I did the math right, lol
17x8" 42mm offset vs my stock 18x7.5" 55mm
That gives me 1/4" more clearance inboard vs my stock lariat rims = 1/2" space between the new tire and kick the whole tire out 3/4"
Cost more...
So can’t help wonder why yours fit. I have seen with Nissan they source parts out to different vendors and end up with different specs. Not sure if ford does this??
On the flip side I found another rim that fits the Ranger but is 8” with 42mm offset.
If you have a chance can you look what your...
Many years I ran 150s, last summer had a tremor. I had a coyote but the eco boys ran lights in front the cooler all day long, many in hot climates. Any reason it would not work on a Ranger? One each side the plate, looks like plenty of room for SS3s or 2s if worried about air flow
This was on...
A few have mentioned it. Any shop Ford or private is only as good as the painter. Word of mouth of trusted friends means more to me than any advertisement. I got lucky and found a shop that to me is good as factory. (And I’m picky)
Considering you have not bought yet, I would drive further...
