I've done a 6800 mile and 7700 mile cross-country trip with my 24 Lariat. I used totes and also have a roll up Ford tonneau cover. Never had any issues with with excessive leakage to the bed or really any leakage into the bed even after heavy rain.

Finally found some in-channel vent visors. Found them on Amazon and they were for a decent price. Hopefully they will hold up well. Super easy to install as well.
Did some heavy hauling today. Full pallet of rubber mulch, 50 bags. It definitely made my truck sit lower but it handled it with no problem. These trucks can definitely haul heavy loads, though I would not be doing it everyday.
I pulled an enclosed 5x10 trailer loaded to the roof with household items from Northern WI to South Central TN and averaged 16. 2 MPG.
This trucks really great with towing.
I did splurge on the Anderson weight distribution hitch. Pretty much checked all the options! I figured if I'm getting a new trailer I might as well go all in and get all the bells and whistles. ?
