I'm assuming that once you get an email saying that your build is scheduled, that there won't be any emails if the date changes since you have the ability to log in and check yourself. I've received a total of 2 emails from Ford. The first was "We got your order!" and the second was the...
Better if you choose the $160 option that gives you the rubber mats without the useless carpet ones. This will be the first vehicle where I won't feel like I have to store the never used carpet mats somewhere until I put them back somewhere in the car when I sell it.
The rubber tray-style mats...
Looking at the Comparison Tool makes me wonder if only 4x4 Lariats will have the E shifter. If I remember right, one of the introduction videos mentioned that the e-shifter was needed for the new park assist. If the 2WD doesn't have the new system, then there's no need for the shorter shifter.
Over on 5G, lots of people have disabled the fake engine noise with ForScan. Glad my XLT didn't have it in the first place. I used ForScan to allow me to run the fogs with high beams. It's pretty user friendly.
It's not surprising, but ordering a non-Raptor Ranger seems like a different experience entirely. I've see a few posts here where the worst for those is MSRP. I was prepared to shop my order to the local-ish dealers around me, but the closest dealer's "offer" was enough to satisfy me. My XLT...
After logging into Ford and adding the VIN they sent me, one of the options was accessories. I was curious, so I explored and there are actually listings for the '24: Retrax retractable covers, RSI smart caps, etc.
I hadn't seen it here, so I thought I'd post.
My dealer is pretty big, but I do think I may have been the first to order a Ranger there. The salesman was super helpful, but didn't know you could yet. I did the whole process with the sales manager. I didn't ask them what they are doing about their Raptor allocations though because it...
It'll be interesting to see how they hold up. Either way, I bet there are a whole lot of aftermarket companies who can't wait to mock up some steel replacements.
I put an OEM-Euro composite skid plate on my 2015 Golf TDI (aluminum oil pan! close to the ground!) and that thing was stupid strong. I'd wager even stronger than the aftermarket steel and aluminum pans offered for the Golf. Composites can be pretty stout.
I mean as far as names go King Ranch and Platinum are both kind of dumb. Of course what the heck do XLT and Lariat mean? I rather we get rid of trims altogether and you order what you want.
