My current 5G has Chrome wheels and they still look great after 2 years despite my not cleaning them too often. Whatever finish they use "chrome-like" is durable and doesn't smudge much.
I ordered a Velocity Blue XLT with the chrome package, so it's nice to see a truck with it. I think some colors look better with the sport appearance and others with the chrome. Blue and red are chrome for sure in my mind. Cactus Gray and Silver look better with sport. Black, Gray and White are...
Ordered on 7-26 with a build week of 10-23. No idea what the formula is for a fast turn around is. I'm a Blue 4x2 XLT high with Chrome, advanced trailering and a locker. Just posting the specs because we might have a statistician here who can parse things out. Other than the advanced trailer...
Not sure I understand the email part of this poll. The order paperwork from my dealer says that I'm submitted retail with a priority code of 11. I had an email from Ford before I even left the dealership. The Ford email doesn't list anything about priority codes though. It just has the order...
I ordered a 2WD XLT with advanced towing, so this truck's console should look just like mine. This is the first I've seen it since all the trucks in the launch videos were 4WD.
It does look pretty white in this video, but I've never seen Cactus Gray appear white on any Ford I've seen in the wild. It kinda ranges from a light gray to a really light green. It looks a lot better than that sounds though.
That Lariat has the XLT and XL shifter, which is a little odd. Makes me wonder if the blank 4wd switch is a placeholder since it seems like a little much for the RWD version.
Edit: I noticed that the drive mode selector is the control for the advanced trailer control (right at 6:00)
I drove a 2015 VW Golf for a few years and my wife had a 2015 Passat and both needed to be topped off with DEF at roughly 8000 miles. I bought the Golf after Dieselgate, so it had had VW's fix, which in the 2015 models was just making the car use more DEF. Apparently the only cheat that the 2015...
I've had several Volkswagen's over the years and they all used the rear window defrost wiring as the radio antenna. They still had the shark fin for GPS, but no other antenna. I guess Ford doesn't do this on its trucks because I don't think the XL has a rear window defroster. The antenna on my...
Just curious if anyone has a link to the source of this thread. I know it's from Ford, but couldn't find any Ford press releases with the information. Didn't know if it was an email or ?... Google searches brought up a few clickbait Automotive news sites with the same information, but nothing...
This video is a comparison of the New Amarok and the Ranger, but around the 14 minute mark, it has a good view of the 10.1" screen . The one in this video has dual zone AC, which only comes with the 12" here, but it's shiny like the XLT, which is hard to see in the Build and Price pictures. The...
I apologize if it's somewhere in this thread, but for those that have ordered a 6G, what's the expected delivery date? I interested in the 6g, but will probably wait until I can check it out in person somehow. I haven't seen anything specific about when that will be.
The 5G XL did have a completely different cluster and radio than the XLT/Lariat, so maybe it'll be different on the 6G since the XL and XLT share the same screens.
If it's like the 5G, I wouldn't count on it. The 5G XL didn't even have the pigtail to wire your own brake controller, which both the XLT and Lariat had.
