I've used 4H a couple of times now this winter due to snow. I've also used 4L when stuck in snow and 4H would not get me out. 4L walked right out. Also used 4L to get up the ramps when changing oil.
I was concerned like you, so I waited about 2 months before having it done. My dealer picked up the truck mid-morning and brought it back washed late afternoon. It turned out great. Nothing damaged and no new rattles.
I forgot to mention, if you go with these screws, do not use an impact driver on them. Hand tighten and loosen only. You will break the small tabs of the driver bit with an impact driver.
My first oil change was done using synthetic blend. I plan to do the second oil change and subsequent oil changes using full synthetic. Is there anything special that I need to do before going full synthetic? Of course I will change the oil filter always. But is it really necessary to do a...
Never mind. Just found it on amazon: Amazon.com: Ford Genuine Fluid XO-5W30-QFS SAE 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil - 1 Quart Bottle - Pack of 12 (12) : Automotive
That's $8.24 per quart. Lowest I have seen it for.
It looks like the case of 12 quarts is the way to go. Where are you buying it from? I'm not seeing the case of 12 on amazon or walmart. I'm seeing lots of 6 through 10 but not 12. Thanks
I see synthetic blend advertised all over the place in 5QT jugs, but how about full synthetic? Does it just come in quarts? If available in 5QTs, where to buy? I'm looking to switch from synthetic blend to full synthetic but also looking for the most economical way to do so. I'm only...
I just completed a trip from Michigan to South Dakota and back for a total of 1905 miles. I now have 4276 miles on my 2025 Lariat with a 2.7L. Up until this trip most of my driving was non-highway. I am very satisfied with an average 27.1 MPG for the trip (see picture). I was expecting maybe...
I ended up buying the Ford OEM mud flaps. I used my Ford Pass points to cover most of the cost plus got the 20% off Ford was offering. Total out of pocket cost was $16. They took about an hour to put on. Some of the original plastic screws were stubborn, but most came right out. There is...
Thanks for the suggestion. I went to their website, and they look like they are not offering anything just yet for a 2025 Ranger. Or they might be sold out. Their price is up there with the Ford OEM. They might be worth it, but it is really hard to assess the differences between them and...
That's a clean looking set. Are the orange letters an order option or did you put those on yourself? I have only seen them available without letters. And do you feel they are large enough or should they be a bit larger? I'm leaning towards these.
I live on a dirt road and need to add mud flaps to my 2025 Ranger Lariat. I don't plan to do any off roading, so I just need something to prevent stone chipping and cut down on mud splashing. I looked at Muslogy (how is that name pronounced?), Ford OEM and Weathertech. I can't find any...
I saw this cut-away view earlier and thought it was not possible to get past the check valve to the bottom of the pan. Apparently, it is possible to reach bottom. The real proof will be how much oil can be extracted. I will post my results in 4000 miles (probably 8 to 9 months the way I drive).
So, it seems that I gave up too easily trying to fit the extraction tube into the dipstick tube. I went back and tried again and was able to insert it ten inches beyond the length of the dipstick. That means I probably hit bottom.
At the time of my first oil change, my factory oil level...
