I just looked at the link and it was very informative in helping me understand priority codes a bit better. Yes, it should be a simple XLT build, but nothing is solid until it's in my garage. Thank you for the link! :)
Apparently Ford dealerships can now use 03 to 19 for retail orders. It makes me want to run down to the dealership tomorrow and see if I can get them to put me at a 03! Does anybody have any knowledge on this?
You tech guys and how you know all this stuff amaze me! That's why you are going for the Raptor, and I, the humble XLT (with the Technology Package!) Lol Thank you :)
I'm sure many were on the stock list and were then switched to retail. Reading some posts, I found it slightly unusual why some were allowed by the dealer to stay on stock and retail. Just thought it was unusual and a point to ponder. But fair enough on your point!
Since my post was long with many assumptions, which assumption is not accurate? The whole post? Not being a for sure stock order? (I addressed that). If nothing has changed for you except now being price protected and getting updates. Is that not a good thing?
I'm getting a retail XLT 4x4 but I've been thinking about the Raptor Stock-to-Retail change. It would seem logical Ford is perhaps realizing there is a large pent up demand for the Raptor. Those of you that have a dealer keeping your stock order AND putting in a retail order seem to be in a...
My thoughts almost exactly. I like the heated seats, but it does not come with a heated steering wheel. If it had both, I posssibly would do it. Premium cloth seats don't get nearly as cold as leather (so while nice, I can do without). And, you are correct, clicking the "High Package" you lose...
Because many dealers don't know what they are talking about and/or what they are doing! I've been told everything from the ordering banks don't open until August, to wanting a NON-REFUNDABLE $2,500 deposit, and they would be nice enough to place my retail order on an XLT at ten (10)! I had no...
I truly appreciate the answer! I personally like the aesthetics of the smaller screen. I just wanted to be sure I was not missing out on some "cool feature(s)" the 12" might of had over the 10.1"
Yes, the heated seating was tempting, but no heated steering wheel kind of kills it for me. As a side note, I did read that article you linked already, it states the system comes only in Sync4. The Ford build shows Sync4A is actually used on either screen. Thank you for your input.
I have my order in for the 10.1" screen XLT Standard Equipment Group with the High Tech package. The features on the High Tech package are a must for me. Now...there is a second group called the XLT High Equipment Group. The XLT High Equipment group includes the 12" center display screen. From...
I printed out the rebate from this forum and gave it to my salesman. They said they would honor it, but did not see it listed officially while we were doing the build. At that time, the bulletin had just come out the day before. I was told if they found out it was not applicable they would call...
Cam, I think that is a "customer loyalty discount." BE SURE to bring it up and get it added to the sales contract. They usually seem to "accidentally" forget to apply it otherwise!
Thank you for the info. I understand NONE of it, and I would for sure cause thousands of dollars in needed repairs! I wonder if I could get someone that understands this stuff to do it for me.
Telenerd, I tentatively believe you are correct initially. However, I think when people start seeing the 6G Ranger on the road, and what it has to offer, it's going to take off. From your post, I assume you want one or are considering one correct? I do, and others on the forum do, and people...
Calling around to SEVERAL Ford dealers over the last few days. That seems to be the general time frame I am getting as well. I'm just going to chill and see how it shakes out. I can't controll what can't be controlled. Thanks for the info!
