Ugh. If Ford is able they need the new Ranger in the North America market by March of 23 to try and pull Tacoma buyers before the redesigned Tacoma debut in Summer of 23.
One advantage of next Ranger. Should be a glut of vehicles catching up. Prob 6 months of newness and then pretty regular 5k under MSRP deals. The new Tacoma and GM twins will be out as well. The newFrontier is selling really well and those will be well loaded trucks under MSRP by then as well.
Yea kinda weird a few simple things are missing on highest trim levels (over 46k) such as telescopic wheel, rear A/C vents, no auto down/up for all windows, rain sensing wipers, and no seat memory.
I think the Ranger will have similar interior dimensions, materials (cloth, leather),and functionality as the 4 door Bronco. Maybe you can sit in a dealer mannequin to see if you like the feel.
I’m sure many of us are active across the various forums and thought it might be insightful for others to share the single biggest reason why they are not buying a 2021 or 2022 mid-size truck?
My primary reason for not purchasing:
Ranger: Dated platform
Tacoma: rear seat misery
GM Twins: car...
Test drove the 22 Frontier Pro4X and noted the list of standard equipment is lengthy for a starting price Of $38,635. Drove ok, very comparable to a Tacoma but the rear seat comfort frankly sucks. I’d likely buy one to replace my crew cab Tundra if it were comfortable. As such, I’m locked down...
Sat in the 2022 Frontier today. The backseat is no better than the outgoing model and still trails other midsize trucks. Definitely scratching it off the list.
Media got access to the Frontiers this week and you can find a few videos on YouTube or tfl if interested. The SV will be available with lots of options including leather. I attached a pick of a SV 6’ bed.
They went into production a couple weeks ago. Media got access to the Frontiers this week and you can find a few videos on YouTube or tfl if interested. The test drive embargo’s will be lifted on the 10th. The SV will be available with lots of options including leather. I attached a pick of a...
I agree. I was disappointed to learn the 22 Frontier will not include a Pro4X long bed, would have to be an SV. I want the upgraded trim materials l, rear locker, and Dana axle so the SV is a no go. I hate to wait on the next Tacoma, likely 2023 to get a 6k’ bed with crew cab and upper trim...
My gut says it is going to mimic the Bronco. I sat in the Bronco a couple days ago and it felt very much like a Ranger size wise. We know the Bronco and 6G Ranger will be on the same platform, so I’d imagine the interior dimensions will be similar.
