It was a change to the Nano engine platform for the second generation of engines. It has been this way for a bit. I don’t think they eliminated it for the EU but that’s not my market so I can’t say for certain.
No it wouldn’t be noticeable. It’s for off-road stability above all else.
As far as development effort it really is but again that’s coming from a bias of doing the development.
The Ranger Raptor has the same suspension “tech” as the Bronco Raptor with live valving but they’re completely different platform bases. As explained above by me the Bronco uses F-150 Raptor level suspension while the Ranger Raptor is less robust in size and capacity. When we went through...
Demand simply put. That’s the rate right now. According to my dealer I bought mine from at least. It’s not even customers it’s other dealers paying that to sell for even more.
l never got as far as I wanted. Stop & go worked but I couldn’t get it to turn on. At the time we weren’t even developing the new Ranger yet so I didn’t have the software to compare. I’ve been busy with life so I haven’t circled back yet. I will eventually.
It chaps my soggy bottom that they offer it only on the Platinum model in Australia and none other.
When I get my Raptor I’m doing what I can to install them.
Understandable. I am more biased coming from doing development with Bronco Raptors which was extensive and overkill work. The front knuckle, rotor, hub, and wheels are handed down from the F-150 Raptor. The shocks were retuned of course but they also come from the F-150 Raptor program. We had to...
Not that I’ve tried too hard but every dealer I had reached out to stated the same thing to me regarding Raptors: they are not available to order and their one allocation is either marked up or pending market value, you can get on a list for them but of the 5 I’ve reached out to they all say...
The description you noted seems improperly written and describes more of what Lane Keep Assist does. The Bronco only has LKA and I have had minor success in re-programming it for Lane Centering which is miles better.
Lane Keep is reactive assist and does the ping-pong as you said.
Lane...
Raptor was supposed to come with a dual intake system but they didn’t have development time to make it happen. I believe what they wanted was dual airboxes and that’s why. Alternator was supposed to be moved up higher too for better longevity with water fording.
I too have been heavily eyeing the F-150 Tremors lately. It would be just a smidge more than the Ranger Raptor but just so much more bland to me. As much as I like the F-150's I don't really have anything that draws me too them. It probably has to do with the fact I'm looking for something fun...
