Correct, this is not a selectable mode from what I can tell. Seems to be a software bug or something encountered by the vehicle triggering a mode that is still in the software somewhere even if not selectable in NA vehicles.
Just adding to this since I missed this thread and started my own about it - I've had this happen twice now while driving, both times the truck changes into sand mode from my standard sport/2h daily driving mode which engages the change to 4h.
I know for a fact nothing was touching the dial at...
I had to stop looking at the USA RR fb group because it is nothing but cam phaser hand wringing and videos asking if theirs have issues.
Who can weigh in on what is really an actual issue that needs addressing? My truck has been noisy and sits in high rpms on cold start until it settles and...
Had my RR since June, it's not my daily (adventure and fun rig) so I've racked up only 3200 miles on trips since then.
I have had two instances at this point of the drive mode changing on me at random without any user input, while driving, which is the main concern here. It appears to select...
This happened to me at only 470 total miles. I had several restarts since and it has not fixed itself. In the same driving session/day I encountered an issue where the dash displayed that adaptive cruise braking was disabled, while driving manually down a 25mph street.
Will see if it returns...
I want to do this, and will be in Reno next week before spending a week in Tahoe, are there any community resources where people link up to run these trails in a group with one another for support?
Some youtube vids I've seen show quite a bit of support spotters etc. I'm new to four wheeling...
Where are the dates listed? I was on the site recently and it said to call for dates.
Also thought I read that any new RR owner would get an invite package sent to them with information. I'm interested in doing it as it's drivable.
I say find a way to get the time to drive out for the one you really want and make an epic trip of it while breaking in the camper otw back.
While I want a hiatus, I won't be spending hiatus money. I'm between an Oru Bruin and a Topo Badlander. Topo has been impressing everyone lately with...
I did take a moment to find a fix to the consistent issue I see with audio. I'm rocking a fairly old phone (iPhone XR) and the only way I play audio is through the Spotify app. This would regularly play through my phone or no audio at all.
Going into settings > Carplay> Ford Ranger >...
Looks awesome & proper. I very nearly bought an XLT with FX4 package before going for the RR - I would have likely been super happy if I could have set it up like yours.
Hopefully you can sort the forscan issues and we'll see you provide us some insights into your thoughts on the performance...
Seemed like the RR brackets were plentiful when I ordered, maybe availability/allocation is different if ordering direct to your household vs. to a dealer with installation?
I have a feeling the GFC is fine on the plastic rail covers, it is a much lighter and "open design" than some other...
I'm also seeing an issue happen more and more with my RR where the "Ford Performance" splash screen will remain on the screen for up to 2 - 3 minutes on vehicle start. The screen will eventually end up rebooting itself, and at that time, even if my phone connects it will never play audio. This...
A lot of points mentioned so far I am realizing are big benefits - super quiet and planted ride compared to the constant 70+db "woobwoobwoob" of wrangler duratracs I had on the chevy. Almost car-like manners on the highway, unless you want that exhaust note it's so quiet that I was surprised to...
Wondering how the GFC is mounted? Did you keep the plastic bed rail covers on or did GFC design to remove it? I haven't seen most of the wedge producers mounted on a 6g ranger just yet aside from yours.
I started corresponding with Topo Toppers and Oru Designs. Topo stated they bolt through the...
Probably the main thing I will second think is not going with the 2.3L for that extra 5mpg potential. Were you carrying any considerable payload for the trip?
Also, the fact that this or other 6g Ranger forums is a bit of a ghost town is probably a good thing. People tend to find places to...
I'd wager a vehicle in this segment with this price fulfills pretty specific needs for most folks. I'm curious about how and why people land on the RR and how it stacks up against the way I did. I believe that there is a "right tool for the job" in every case... but also that sometimes wants vs...
No crashing issues, but nearly 25% of the time my iPhone XR will connect via carplay and will absolutely refuse to play sound through the system. Only shutting off the vehicle and restarting it will fix it based on my troubleshooting. Super frustrating as that is obviously not ideal. This does...
So unsurprising. The GM at my dealer was shaking his head in disbelief and tried to dismiss what I was saying when I told him my plans for a wedge camper shell on the bed, as if there would be no possible way a ford provided part would be required. They don't research and don't know, they're...
@RapRanger21 a wedge / cabover camper topper is my plan as well. The ones I'm considering don't seem to have performed an install on a 2024 Ranger yet. I've only seen a GFC so far here on this forum and it looks like the plastic bed rail covers were left on. I've reached out to the builders I'm...
@RRaptor24 mind sharing which tonneau cover product you have? Nice low profile and it looks like it actually fits the rounded edges of the bed unlike a bunch of others I've seen.
Might need one while I decide the path forward for a wedge camper.
