Added the ARB Summit bull bar to my WildTrak today. Excellent fit and finish. Moved my front sensors and camera from their original locations to the mounting locations designed into the bar so functionality of all my systems remains intact. Bar insets match the grille design and the bar was...
Yep, if your truck has them (mine doesnāt) so theyāll likely put a switch in the bed next to the hose coupler or in a āblankā spot on the lower dash near the headlight switch. Since Iām Not running air lockers or something Iāll likely stick with the bed.
Adjusting to the driving is pretty easy⦠follow the dude in front of you. Adjusting to looking the āwrongā way before crossing the street? Different story altogether⦠tends to be a self correcting problem though!
Not a dumb question at all, but unfortunately itās a single elevation change as opposed to the independent front/rear. I still donāt think youāll have a problem finding a comfortable seating position. I was able to and the seatās on the wrong side of the damn truck!
There is, but theyāve actually engineered a place in the right rear of the bed between the inner and outer sheet metal. Hard mounts in there with only the hose coupler visible in the bed. Keeps it out of the way while allowing functionality. Just got back from ARB in town where I ordered it...
Thatās always part of the fun⦠not necessarily planning but just exploring. In the states we often flip a coin to decide if we go left right or straight. Harder to do that here, but still plenty of options! And weāll post pics afterwards!
Have them on this WildTrak. That was one of the differences my wife liked vs the Hilux. In the Toyota hers was manual. Powered in the Ranger which makes those fine, micro adjustments easy.
Itās not wider at the back than the front.
Yes, there is additional width between the wheel arches, but that extra width was put to use in the cabin as well. Even the center console is wider (bought a Gen 5 console tray that went straight to the bottom due to the change.)
Again, weāre not...
Iām 6ā2 and 220 pounds and have plenty of room. The Gen 6 is actually a shade larger than 5. A couple inches wider, couple longer, couple taller. Not something most people would notice unless they put the two side by side or read the specs. The little bit bigger isnāt enough to affect...
One of the reasons Iām on here is to provide as much info as I can about it and to share experiences. Hoping that helps some, at least in the decision making. Iāve had a couple other Rangers over the years. Couple of Raptors. Couple of Tacomas. Really just about all the players at one point in...
I chose my Gen 6 Ranger for a few reasons.
First, Iāll be on this assignment for a few years and getting out and exploring is something my wife and I really enjoy. We needed something that was going to be reliable and comfortable enough for the (really) long trips it takes to get somewhere out...
The good thing though is that they integrated the big screen into the dashboard. It doesnāt look like they just stuck it on after the fact with some Velcro, duct tape, and hope!
I have it in both my Ranger WildTrak out here where itās vertical, and my Bronco Badlands where itās horizontal back...
It did beautifully⦠and has so far on every type of terrain. When I looked down and was at 150km/h the other day it was a whole new level of respect. I would definitely understand the capabilities if Iād built it out, but this thing is still 100% stock. Impressive just doesnāt come close to...
Have 11000 miles on my ā21 Bronco Badlands in all conditions on and off road in 8 months and was bulletproof. Had a 17 4-Runner that didnāt seem to be able to make it out of the driveway without something breaking. Itās really hit and miss at this point.
If it helps, I bought a Gen 6 Ranger out...
