Not questioning the narrative. It shows that there are still dealers who are behind the 8 ball when it comes to getting information. I've been in daily comm with senior sales. The manager may be a different story and gatekeeping certain info.
I just got off the phone with my rep. He said that the standard Rangers will be orderable today, most likely afternoon. He also said that Raptors have not had official allocations flowed out yet. Not talking about the Q4 numbers, he wasn't aware of the initial single allotment many of us have...
It’ll be a really fine split since a fully loaded Lariat is ~$4k less than a Raptor with a bedliner. Toss in the V6 that hasn’t even been priced out yet, it may even be within $1000 difference. Although I bet the Raptor Is gonna start price hiking fast.
edit: just priced out a Lariat vs Raptor...
2020 and 2021, the Ranger outsold the Colorado. ’22 everyone was waiting for the new Canyon, ‘23 everyone’s waiting for the new Ranger. I genuinely think that’s the only reason we got the Splash, as a last ditch effort to get rid of some of the spare parts under the guise of new paint.
They are...
I suspect they’re giving us the 60 because they don’t want folks tuning the RR to beat a stock F150 Raptor. Seeing what you can get just from bolt-ons proves the 2.7/3.0 is an absolute unit. Limiting the power output thru the transmission would defer most people from spooling it up to 500hp...
A stock 2.3 automatic bronco has a 3.73 rear end with a .636 tenth gear. The Ranger Raptor has the same running gear. Even tho the Bronco is a barn door, itd be foolish to expect the Raptor to do better.
This is where I eat my words. I am thoroughly impressed. The Pro’s seats looks like something out of a sci-if movie. Solid stack of features. Not wild on the looks, it’s a bit gill-y but the hybrid 4 is gonna hopefully gonna show some great fuel economy.
Definitely buy now. Look at the price hike the Bronco Raptor's had in the past year and a half.
It started at $68,500, now it's $86,000. Unless Ford randomly decides to introduce a moonroof and BlueCruise, I don't see there being many add-ons worth validating the inevitable price hike.
This is entirely speculative but given that the Ranger isn't quite as intense or high demand as the Bronco equivalent, I'd bet dealership that got 1-2 allocations a year may see 3 or 4. Doesn't mean it will be easy to get your hands on one but there may be a better chance than trying to be a...
I feel you could validate doing that with a Raptor if you're already in line for one since if you don't like it, there's a high change a dealer may buy it off you. A standard XLT? That's a different question considering the competition.
