  1. 2" or 2.5" - Front end lift to level?

I'd say in my opinion that having all of your alignment angles as close to the factory specs is best practice for those who don't off road much, as for camber for off road driving it will depend a lot on what type of off roading you do. If you are not doing much higher speed driving off road...
  2. 5 months of ownership

Ive had my ranger for 1 year 3 months and I have 30k miles.
  3. 2" or 2.5" - Front end lift to level?

Thanks! They are not Bronco takeoffs though! They are the ranger raptor rims and tires from a 2025 model year, its the option rim with the bead-lock rims/rash guards. 285/70R17 KO3's. They fit great with no spacers, clearance to the front knuckle is extremely tight (less than 1/2") but they...
  4. 2" or 2.5" - Front end lift to level?

As I don't see anyone else mentioning that they did a 2" lift, I have a 2024 FX4 2.3L with a 2" front lift. I l am happy with the decision, I didn't want a perfectly level height front and rear, I wanted to maintain some rake so when I tow or load the bed its not squatting in the rear too much...
  5. DEALER TECH 2024 FORD RANGER XLT BUDGET BUILD

I must have a super heavy foot, plus yes the various mods I've done do decrease efficiency, I have been trying to baby the throttle and I've gotten my fuel economy up to 18mpg but can't get it any higher lol oh well it is what it is.
  6. Anyone bash in their exhaust yet off-road?

Yeah I put a nice dent in my muffler and the cross bars up front have been smashed pretty good, I bent the ends flat and repainted it flat back so it wont rust on me. My front skid plate has taken a major bashing too so I've actually doubled up the front skid plate to add additional rigidity.
  7. Fueling Thoughts

Don't know if I fully agree with your statement about it not making any difference unless towing heavy racing necessarily. Despite what I am about to say, we would need dyno testing done with the correct parameters to show any measurable difference between 87 and 91/93 on a stock tune for...
  8. My first Ford ever.

Still kick myself for not getting a white ranger, every time I see one I die a little more inside, jelly for sure.
  9. An Easy Mod - Decal Removal

I did the same! I think it looks way better without decals. Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes told by Daniel Tosh, "No matter what the sticker on the back of your vehicle says, know that it reads 'I'm poor'" lol
  10. New Ranger Raptor

I love this wheel, color combo with the minimal graphics, very subtle. Welcome to the 6g forum.
  11. Black Residue from Muffler

Yes this is completely normal. Nothing to worry about, though it can be a bit frustrating if you park on a concrete driveway like myself.
  12. Nice info on the 2.7!!!

As a delaer shop foreman I have never seen a 2.7L oil pump belt fail.... ever.....
  13. VIDEO DESCRIPTION OF BUDGET RANGER BUILD (2024 XLT)

Yeah I can see what you mean by that, bit of a misuse of the word unibody. Yes these trucks have a body and frame but what I was meaning was that the pinch weld on the body is designed similarly to a unibody vehicle and that its strong enough to lift the truck by that point. This is my first...
  14. Giving Up on BFG KO3's

My experience working at a dealership is that BFG KO2’s and KO3’s have lots of balance issues, some customers are less sensitive to the oscillations and some customers get lucky with a well balanced set. The reset of the customers are unhappy. I have KO3’s on my ranger and after careful force...
  15. VIDEO DESCRIPTION OF BUDGET RANGER BUILD (2024 XLT)

Made a quick video of my ranger budget build if anyone wants to check it out.
  16. 2024 XL (STX) 2.3L coolant intrusion

Hey I am a Ford dealer shop foreman and I was a gasoline engine repair technician for the majority of my career, I may be able to give some insights potentially. Coolant intrusion on 2.3l for focus RS mustang and ford explorers were very common for a stretch of about 5-6 years up until about...
  17. What is the break-in period?

Ford typically regards a warm up cycle as being run long enough for the thermostat to open, usually around 180 - 185 degrees coolant temperature. If both lower and upper radiator hoses are hot then you know the thermostat has opened and the vehicle is considered warm. They don't really regard...
  18. What is the break-in period?

Ill put my opinion out there, but ultimately its just an opinion so take that into account. First 200 miles, don't do any prolonged WOT pulls, but high RPM is not problematic. Try to avoid short trips as well, make sure each time you drive it the vehicle completes a full warm up and cool down...
