Sorry thought I was in the Raptor forum. The manual is imprecise as to whether you can save any settings in a non-Raptor - see partial. On my Lariat I just pushed button as part of start up routine.
Turn it off in Ranger Raptor Settings, assuming you don't want all of the "Normal" settings you will have already changed some and saved them....you reactivate saved settings with the double tap on the 'R' button.....
I like it, had it installed by the guy that did my tint. Don't notice any, with Baha exhaust setting and sub-woofer, not sure I could feel it :) you can probably see that there are 3 places where it essentially bolts on so that may help.
Good write up. Never drove a really high end performance sports car but got a lot of exposure in the 60’s as my dad went through a sports car phase so I got to spend a lot of time in a ’61 Sprite, a ’61 Austin Healy 3000 and a ’64 TR4. Drove them hard. Never had anything similar as an adult...
This won't be much help but....I looked at the .pdf version of the manual which is very useable and much better than the HTML version. Results are inconclusive in my readings....while non-Raptors (manual has added sections whenever there are Raptor specific functions) do not have My Mode which...
Nearly 2000 miles and really have none of those issues. Carplay works seamlessly, connects on its own staying in the background until I select on the home screen. Sport mode fine especially with the tune. Auto On/Off is off in my Raptor settings which I engage at start up. The .pdf version...
Maybe I am misunderstanding but when I selected Sport Mode I saved my Raptor settings, then changed other ones like turning off auto stop/start, setting exhaust to Baha, then saved the settings and first thing in the truck start and hit the R button twice and it all back to what saved. Can't...
I made a certificate in Publisher :) put my VIN, the tune part #, name of shop, name of mech, and date. Final step/actual installation took about 10-15 minutes. He did it for $50 cash :)
That's my truck too, looks good all shiny and sparkly . I do have tailgate letters, but had the bedsides removed by the guy that did my tint. I have thought about some subtle inserts in the tailgate Raptor badge however...maybe a silver metallic?
I am so far and before once I learned how to do the settings :) Notice higher RPM on shift points and smoother shifts but less than 50 miles since tune.
Had mine installed yesterday by a ASE master whose shop is also a Ford Authorized Installer who is also a Ford Authorized Installer or something like that. I had the tool all ready for the final step which is actually when you "install" the tune, gave him 1/3 of what dealer wanted. Haven't...
Great color, don't do decals but another color you don't see much and I might have chosen. Challenge is not being able to see various colors on actual trucks as opposed to the only online. Considering that my dealer has a nice Mav Lariat for $40K, $57K for my Raptor doesn't sound bad, and the...
That is what I got with the 2.3 Tune, missing in my box. Called Ford and got a resolution as will be provided a voucher number by sending my VIN and proof of purchase. I got as far as where you download the tune to the tool and it wanted the Voucher #. Guy I talked to said this is happening...
Odd, no paper with mine. There was one with a code when I did the 2.3 tune. I was able to update the software on the tool but have not hooked it up the truck for the first time yet.
Did you hook up your battery to a tender or charger. I did not when I tuned my '19, Also apparently there isn't code to enter anywhere as there was when I did my '19. I had dealer do the final step after I did all the rest but this time the dealer is being hard nosed about it and wants to...
Not sure on this. The way I read the tons of stuff since the 2.3 tune came out on the tune, warranty, etc. the warranty is the standard warranty extending from the date of service (regardless of date of install) thru whatever remains of the 3 year portion of the warranty assuming you had Ford...
