Find a ASE tech, should be easy, offer cash to do final step, I paid 1/3 of what dealer wanted. I made a document in Publisher documenting they did the install with Master Tech's signature, date, VIN, etc.
REached out to see if they had any pricing and other info - no pricing yet....also they said:
"Generally with our exhaust you will see both performance and slight fuel efficiency improvements.
Our exhaust will be a mid-section with optional tailpipes that would delete the stock tailpipe...
Lots of opinions and many related threads. I used an ASE Master, did everything but actual install, used dealer same way on my '19. Already had a Ford Performance account from when I got the tune for my '19 and want the FP account on my computer.
.
Not sure what you are considering the certificate you may mean the voucher ID that comes with the tool. I had a Ford Performance account even before I got the 2.3 tune and in the 5 years I had my Lariat the tune was never updated. My dealer (on my 2.3 tune and Raptor tune) was perfectly...
Not sure that presenting options is meant to be other than information shared, not a criticism of one way other the other....although it may seem that people are taking or presenting those opinions as the only one a reasonable person would chose
Understand, I'm just wondering. It may be that worry about warranty isn't that critical an issue. Not trying to sway anyone that thinks they need to do it either of the three ways, or goodness forbid, tell someone how to spend their money :)
Find me one case where anyone bricked the ECU or even had a warranty claim remotely related to the tune that either was or wasn't honored .... not being snarky, but if I missed that, shame on me
I'm not sure my little dealer even has a performance technician :) Small town, knew a ADE Master Tech. Depending on their hourly - mine is $150 - maybe now but surely in early days of the tune for the 2.3 dealers were charging as much as 3 hours, and as you may have read some won't install if...
ASE route is the way IMO, but there really is only one way it can be installed - it just file downloads and uploads, no calibration or settings that you could select let alone get wrong. If warranty ever became an issue it would all depend on the dealer - IMO they can claim about anything but...
I did similar for my '19 Lariat. Dealership changed hands and they wanted one hour labor - about $150 - I did everything but the final step on my Raptor, took it to an ASE Master and offered him $50. and created a "certificate" signed by him and providing proof that it was installed by an ASE...
Following. I thought I was done with mods for my truck. The way I read it is you can just replace the midsection or add other options.
My read/assumptions. The “valves” are just behind the X-pipe, and they are included (replaced or?) the muffler would be replaced and the tubing up to the...
It would seem regardless of anything the dealer could do the tune is still on the tool and could be reinstalled in 10-15 minutes. In 5 years of dealer servicing my tuned '19 it was never an issue.....maybe I am missing something.
Ha, long afternoon of football and $2 Absolute 100...made me think of the Doors:
"Ah Keep your eyes on the road
Your hands upon the wheel
Keep your eyes on the road
Your hands upon the wheel
Yeah, we're going to the roadhouse
Gonna have a real good-time "
at least its not a dial :) I don't mind it, liked the taller one in my '19 Lariat a little better though...and less of a boot to tear, crack, wear out etc. :)
I like them enough but seems to be closer to body/not as wide as stock. I'm old and need all the help I can possible getting in and out of the truck. Don't do off road, just wanted the motor so stock is sturdy enough for me.
I run 95% Baha mode, love the sound. Quick google did not reveal any claims of increased HP in Baha. BUT that sort of flies in the face of less back pressure being bad for performance, and I think that means one must assume that Baha mode has less backpressure than Quiet. Borla claims...
To clarify, actually for me who might be the only one that was interested, this is the essentially the same as the Bak X2, comparing specs the difference is what you needed....ability to put on a rack, all other specs the same. For some reason the underside of the X2 is bare aluminum and the...
