And besides that - a good cat is nearly as good as catless. The only reason to go catless is if you are a cheap bastard and don't want to pay for good cats.
Winfield is the bomb... IMO there really is no better tune. He owns the vehicles he tunes and his customer service is second to none. There is no other tune I would go with personally.
He has you do real world pulls (on a private road of course) while logging. You send him the logs, he analyses, tweaks, sends you a new file to log and you keep doing that until he is happy (and you too!).
This is the best all around tire period. Super quiet on road, good off-road and great in the rain. You will love these tires I run them in my gen2 and when i let other truck folks drive it they are floored by how good the coopers are.
Guys, the shutters are there for economy, not performance. Take that sit out. Also, the stock IC is utter garbage. It feels like a cheap chinese toy with plastic end tanks. A proper (my preference is bar and plate which most are) intercooler will ALWAYS be beneficial. The stock IC starts to heat...
It's very common for Gen 2 guys (me included) to put a cooler thermostat in (170 vs 193) which seems to help a lot. Not sure how hot these RRs run but maybe it is something to consider?
I'm so glad you posted this so I didn't have to :p Truth is, people believe what they want, facts and figures be damned. To your point, people also don't usually understand decibel ratings either.
The dry filter is the way to go... I replace mine every 2 years or so in my Gen 2 - I only drive 8k miles/year. Also, why does everyone have the dealer install the ProCal tune if it is so easy to do yourself?
