What you fail to understand is that it doesn't matter what fuel or what additive you put in your fuel when all you have is DIRECT INJECTION. Fuel is nowhere near the valves.
Incorrect. That particular decal started with the gen 3 raptor. It did not exist for gen 1 or gen 2. Someone made some with gn 02 and gn 01 but they were never factory. I have one on my gen 2 - I went for the subtle look.
Which brings up a good point - I would NOT have my phasers replaced until there is a new part. Otherwise, you are just putting in a potentially bad part again. Some gen 2 guys had their phasers replaced 3-4 times because of that.
the gen 2 raptors cost for ~$4500 per cam phaser fix. They redesigned the part in 2019 to fix the issue altogether. They will do the same for the 3.0 at some point is my guess.
I would yes. It is an invasive fix that should never be an issue in the first place. I had my gen 2 phasers replaced and all is good now. You will rarely see 2020 and newer raptors have phaser issues because they redesigned the part. My guess is that at some point here, ford will do the same for...
So my gen 2 raptor (2018) had bad phasers and there are 100% new part numbers for those phasers. I'd be really surprised at this point if there weren't redesigned phasers for the 3L. Ford will never learn apparently since this issue has been happening for a decade or more now.
This is good news! I have a gen 2 raptor and you can NOT suck the oil out topside at all. I like how the filter is topside as well. I can change oil and filter with the mityvac in a tux and not spill a drop.
