I never said anything about oil film. Plus, I never mentioned K&N specifically either. Did you look at the testing that was linked right under your post? Of course you didn't. tl;dr the K&N performed the worst (or close to worst) in all filtering test metrics but you do you.
These arguments are no different than all the other raptors. On stock shocks there are only 2 ways to lift. Collar/longer springs for preload or top spacers. That’s it. Of course neither are perfect and no one said they were.

Yeah unless you upgrade your steering rack, I would stay away from these as mentioned. The OEM tie rods act as the sacrificial lamb and will save the weak OEM steering rack. I see these as a package with a beefier rack.
