  1. Recall 26S35: 2025-2026 Ranger 2.3L Engine Assembly Replacement [May 28, 2026]

That's not many vehicles involved and it looks like mine isn't affected by this one. At least not yet.
  2. 2025 2.3 Start-up CLUNK

If you check the replies above you'll see it is happening to me. Sometimes it's loud and a bit alarming (akin to the clip in the post above) but doesn't feel damaging, just annoying. Obviously shouldn't be there.
  3. 2025 2.3 Start-up CLUNK

Whatever you replace it with will likely cost more than it would have in Dec too. Plus sales tax you won't get back, nor tag/title/admin fees/etc. Overall it doesn't seem that bad to me but if it really bothers you and you're ready for a change anyway...
  4. Where Did Your Ranger Take You This Spring? Drop Your Best Photo

Went to Stone Mountain State Park, NC earlier this month, west of I-77 near the VA border and the town of Roaring Rock, NC. Spent 3 days with friends and their campers, hiking and exploring each day.
  5. 2025 2.3 Start-up CLUNK

Yeah, my 2025 occasionally does it too. Seems like it's coming from behind the trans, like the driveshaft turning a bit and causing a clunk near the rear end. Otherwise no other symptoms.
  6. Bought a teardrop trailer

Since my trailer had the upgraded axle with electric brakes I went ahead and installed the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/Custom Harness from etrailer.com. The included adapter plugged right into the truck harness under the dash and it works great. The truck stopped well without it so...
  7. Recall Notice 26C10 / NHTSA Recall 26V104

Got a notification message on the truck display 2 days before, then the night before last I got the update with a message on the display stating it was completed when I turned it on that morning. This is the third OTA update in the last 2 months. No issues so far.
  8. Recall Notice 26C10 / NHTSA Recall 26V104

Got a notification message on the truck display 2 days before, then the night before last I got the update with a message on the display stating it had been installed when I turned it on that morning. This is the third OTA update in the last 2 months. No issues so far.
  9. Bought a teardrop trailer

Have looked at those LiFePO4's and wondered about charging when the temp is below freezing. I'm guessing it will use some energy to keep itself warm enough the safely charge? which would definitely be a better option than AGM.
  10. Bought a teardrop trailer

Those T@Gs are nice and yours will probably outlast my Sunray. The RV dealer didn't have the right brake controller for the Ranger (they only carry Tekonsha). Trailer brakes aren't required in SC below 3000 lbs but since the trailer has the upgraded axle with brakes I plan to install the Redarc...
  11. Bought a teardrop trailer

Yes, was very happy towing it and cruised up hills easily. Shifting was smooth and on steeper pitches you could hear the turbo spooling up. Oil temp raised accordingly but nothing to be concerned about.
  12. Bought a teardrop trailer

Yes, 3500lb axle with electric brakes. Cargo capacity is listed as 2165 lbs. Recommended tire pressure is 65 psi. Hadn't thought of the rough ride back there but excellent point, I'll lower psi before the next trip. Frame looks heavy duty so should help minimize flex. Came with an Interstate...
  13. Bought a teardrop trailer

That's bigger and does look heavier but you should do better than 10mpg with your Ranger. Mine is 6' 2" inside so just barely long enough for me.
  14. Bought a teardrop trailer

Had mentioned in a thread about trading my Maverick for a Ranger that I was buying a teardrop camping trailer. Was going to update that thread but decided a new one in the towing section might be better. I picked up a SunRay Sport 109 teardrop trailer last week and towing it home about 20 miles...
  15. Tires for Soft Roaders

Nothing on that survey about rolling resistance (mpg) either.
  16. Need Help Choosing a Tonneau Cover

Yes, I see that at the bottom under Other Clamp Kits. They weren't included in mine and I didn't need them so have no idea what they are.
  17. Tires for Soft Roaders

Good looking tire, happy to hear they're performing well. Have 255/70-17's on my Ranger SXT which Tire Rack says they don't carry. Maybe they'll be available when the time comes.
  18. Tires for Soft Roaders

How's the noise and mpg? Those look good but the Tire Rack site shows they're not available in the stock size on my SXT.
  19. Tires for Soft Roaders

Are you nearing the end of your tread life or just thinking ahead? My truck doesn't even have 1000 miles on it yet but I've had bad luck with Goodyear tires in the past so can't help but think about it. Back in the 90's I bought a used minivan for my wife and the Goodyears on it started coming...
  20. Need Help Choosing a Tonneau Cover

To follow up on this...I decided to go with the Leer HF650M and called a local dealer. Nothing in stock of course and to get it would cost $1500, plus $140 if I wanted them to install it. Instead, I ordered it off the Leer website for $1174 and got it (IN to SC) on day 3. Installed it when it...
