Like this ladder a lot, especially the swivel feature. Thanks for the write-up. Too bad there's not one these that stores inside the bed, up along one side. Unless deployed to get it out of the way it blocks loading and unloading, plus being able to use the tailgate as a seat and work surface...
My guess is that they designed the single exhaust well enough that adding the extra weight/complexity of dual exhaust would not be cost effective. There may be a small gain possible and there are plenty of shops that would do it but if all someone wants is the image, a Y connector running back...
Have mentioned it on the forum before that I would have bought a Ranger hybrid if one was available. Not interested in a full EV at this time though, just doesn't fit my use case.
That said, I am looking forward to seeing what Ford develops with this multi-use platform. Would like to see it be...
Just have a new 2025 Ranger SXT 4x4 at the moment.
Have owned 55 vehicles (counting 6 motorcycles) since the late 60's from many different manufacturers.
Previous Fords in order of ownership:
1961 Falcon wagon (if you've seen one you'll know why we called it the "white whale")
1949 Tudor...
Picked it up one week ago and have 182 trouble free miles on it. ;-) Would have had more but we got 6 inches of snow the day after I bought it and here in SC everything shuts down. Having grown up and learned to drive in US - Canadian border states (plus lived in the Rockies for many years) I...
It's much like the 4x4 dial we use in the Rangers now, which I prefer to the big, old lever shifters we used to use to go between 2H, 4H and 4L.
Wasn't sure about that rotary shifter in the Maverick at first. Didn't take up much space on the console and although it seems counter intuitive, once...
Interesting. The 2025 Maverick I traded for the 2025 Ranger had push to start. Seems odd that it would have it and the Ranger does not. Liked it a lot and still getting used to pulling out the key again for my SXT.
@DutchRanger - checked on Amazon and they don't carry a Redarc brake controller for the Ranger. Checked Redarc's site and they don't have one either. They list one for the Bronco, is that the one you used?
@DutchRanger - Currently reading through the 21 pages of the thread linked above and Redarc seems to be mentioned the most. Do you know the model number of the one you used and did you need an adapter?
Took my new 2025 Ranger 4x4 with $535 "trailer tow package" option to the dealer this morning to have the factory brake controller kit added, which was agreed upon at the time of purchase. After waiting around 2 hours the service manager called to tell me the tech working on it needed to order...
Just picked up my CG Ranger last Friday. Got these at a trailhead after a fairly rare sleet/ice storm here in SC the day after I got it. 4WD was great of course.
Have seen that listed and checked it out. A different design that looks very rugged and would be good for a lot of things, but I need a fold up hard cover so I have open access to most of the bed without having to remove it too often, for moving taller items. Thanks
