Just for grins, I've owned, a total of 13 f series trucks, 1-Ranger, 2 Sport Trac's (1 is a Adrenalin that I still own), a Mustang, 2 Lincolns a Thunderbird, 3 conversion vans and a Mercury Couger.

AND, the Dodge truck from HELL !!!!!!

Problems with it?
The fit and finish of things for a $60K vehicle: the HVAC controls, shifter, and drive mode selector, the leather seats being a big one, the lack of rear HVAC vents, the haphazard design of the main screen, the lack of sound deadening and weather stripping, the bed rails leaking..... a whole lot of things.

Again, all of this would be sort of acceptable in say a $25k vehicle, but even in that price point the appointments are better quality.

But I have only 2000 miles on it right now, who knows what else will happen in the first 3-5 years.

Everyone who has dismissed my complaints is telling me to cope, and I dont appreciate it. Its not becoming of one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world. They have the resources to make quality vehicles, they just dont, maybe because they dont have to. I dont know.

We have a 2024 RANGER FX4 with the 2.3, a 2024 F-150 King Ranch with the 3.5, a 2017 F-150 King Ranch with the 3.5, a 2008 FORD Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin with the 4.6.

My son has a 2019 FORD Edge ST. (Not sure what engine is in it).
1998 Explorer and the 24 Ranger! My folks used to have a 1st gen Super Duty F250 5.4 ext cab short bed. By the way, your username seems familiar, you from EF? No worries if not the name just seems vaguely familiar to me

Hey, I get it man and wouldn’t dismiss them to you. My wife and I went through the same thing with a brand new explorer back in 2011. They ended up buying it back and we bought an F-150, it was a great truck.

All the manufacturers have problems these days with items you mentioned and suffer issues sometimes. Whether it’s reliability, fit and finish, materials, etc.

Only the Ranger Raptor. I did have an Econoline 150 van in the early 90’s that I used to sell rugs out of on the side of the road.

Just have a new 2025 Ranger SXT 4x4 at the moment.

Have owned 55 vehicles (counting 6 motorcycles) since the late 60's from many different manufacturers.

Previous Fords in order of ownership:

1961 Falcon wagon (if you've seen one you'll know why we called it the "white whale")
1949 Tudor (fun)
1972 Pinto (meh)
1965 Falcon (great car)
1962 Mercury Meteor
1968 German Ford Taunus 12M (great car during 1st tour in Germany)
1978 Pinto wagon (wife wanted it, piece of junk)
1978 F100 (great truck)
1979 German Ford Granada wagon (2nd tour in Germany - nothing like the US Granada, would cruise all day 100-120mph on the autobahn)
1978 German Ford Fiesta (great little car would do 100mph+ with ease on the autobahn during 2nd tour)
1982 Ford Escort wagon (wife's, this piece of crap turned me off to Ford for a very long time)
2025 Maverick hybrid (great little truck, flipped the 'Ford switch' back on)
