Use a soap that can dry on the paind and when re-wetted will rinse and use a spray drying aid. I wash my truck here in FL all the time in the sun. Keep it wet. If you do get water spots, get a water spot remover if needed.

That's true but these engines run much hotter than engines of old. Seeing oil and water temperatures over 200 as normal these days is a major change. Oil needs to have a higher thermal capacity these days.

My main issues is coking the turbo bearings. We want an oil that does not burn off under high heat. The PUP had that property.
