As others mentioned, it’s not an exact science on what might delay getting you scheduled. However, I would advise you to listen to the Long MacArthur live on YouTube because every week they go over the scheduling sheet and what options or other things are impacting it.
They mentioned last week...
You’ll get us on that one for sure. I don’t expect our football team to do anything this year, but thankfully UF is good at a lot of sports :)
And also Go Bolts! in case you’re a Predator fan lol. They typically have a few blue F150s posted up next to the Amalie arena entrance for marketing, so...
It’s just a preproduction demo vehicle they’re taking around to various dealers to show it off and train salesmen on the talking points. Just like the Cactus Grey one at a different US dealer a couple days back that had a XLT shifter in a Lariat, they aren’t necessarily spec-ed 100% as a...
FWIW that guy from Long MacArthur I think it is that makes the weekly videos, I recall him saying that you can still change your order even after it’s been scheduled. So if you actually want to change it, you can probably reach out to your dealer.
I suspect they will release a Platinum and a Tremor trim within 1-2 years in the U.S. The worldwide Ranger didn’t immediately start with all the trims either.
After continuously watching/looking at the same 4 trucks at the press event in May for months, I’m really glad these dealership videos are showing off other options and colors. Someone needs to post a video of the carbonized grey though (non-Raptor).
The Lariat does have the heated steering wheel. It was covered in an article earlier in the week and was on a YouTube video last night. Essentially a reporter went down the rabbit hole of not being to find it explicitly written in the Build & Price so she contacted the Ford communications higher...
That and also pillar grab handles for the back seats. It makes no sense the U.S. version only gets a grab handle for the front passenger, especially given the worldwide version has it for all four spots. Like why give it to one person in the truck, but everyone else is out of luck. Strange.
Priority code matters within your dealership. In other words, if one person has priority code 3 and one has 19 in the same dealership then 3 will get scheduled first if there is no parts constraints. However, a 3 at one dealership doesn’t trump a 19 at another dealership.
I specifically asked...
I was surprised as well. I don’t actually expect it to be built then though. I’m sure the strike, supply chain, transportation delays, and/or whatever else will have the date ping ponging around for awhile. Gives me slight hope I might get it before the end of the year though.
One of the reasons I was originally wanting the Lariat is for the smaller shifter. Being shorter it just seems like it will be better to reach into the cubby, get a drink out of the cupholder, etc. But alas I ordered a XLT, so I’ll have to deal with the bigger one. I agree that I would also...
That’s what I thought. Unfortunately even asking the salesman specifically to please choose Xplan when ordering, it didn’t have that. I immediately asked him to change it once he emailed me the order sheet, but he said don’t worry about it because they know I’ll use X-plan. I screenshotted the...
Is Xplan written on your build sheet? I just got my order placed and I asked the salesman to make sure that was included but the build sheet doesn’t list it on the discounts line.
Interesting that it’s a 2wd but it still had the 4wd knob, just blank except a center icon. Maybe the center icon is for a locker? I assumed a 2wd would just have a hole there instead of the knob since that’s what the overseas one has. I’d personally prefer having a knob there because otherwise...
