I don't want the advanced package just the trailer brake controller. My truck has the trailer package ordered with it which includes 7 and 4 pin and receiver. I doubt ford would make a separate harness. I will investigate further once it arrives in March/April.

Your ranger should have a remote start in the ford pass app on your phone. You would need to install the ford command start module for the key fob to work.

We don't have the money for the XLT. That's why we just ordered the base xl with trailer tow package and block heater. They threw in the bed mat and added factory flaps. In Canada you can't get the xl with advance tow unfortunately.

My 2014 f150 had to just be "turned on" Im guessing it should be just as easy. Just like adding factory cruise to the xl Mavericks when they came out in 2022

If there was any doubt, you should take it in to the dealer for them to check it if it's brand new. They should have checked it during the PDI. Never assume the dipstick reads perfectly either. The dipstick can be made with flaws and errors like anything else. When it's ready for an oil change...

I contacted ford Canada by phone, then gave the order number. They did not have anything as of yet. Then within 2 days of the call, I got an email from my salesman with a vin and schedule date of Feb 24/2025. My order is a reg stock order. It's a plain Jane xl with block heater and tow package.
