I actually think there come pre-installed on the Raptor for two reasons:
- The J-braces are listed as an accessory part on Ford's website, but specifically state for "non-Raptor models"
- I just ran my Raptor VIN through that link, and I am all green, with no listed recalls or TSBs
So either...
Assuming they’re going by US model years, MY24 vehicles not yet supported. They’re last update was in March, so I’d wager another coming soon since Rangers only just started to hit dealers/customers.
THANK YOU! All these YouTubers with 35 seconds in the car, or people who've never been in on (let alone drive one) arguing about tablet placement. I saw in an RR at the autoshow and immediately felt at home. The table isn't "too low" and I love that nothing protrudes from the dash.
Having...
At least on my end, Ford Marketing can't provide anything new versus two weeks ago.
"In Production" as of 3/12, which is/was my blend date.
Scheduled update for 3/25, which has passed and nothing new.
Same info from dealer...the screenshot of their system they sent me had TBD everywhere.
So it's...
From all the reviews, I honestly have no quibbles.
No rear vents? Fine...there are vents under the seats. My family's 1995 Passat only have under-floor vents and no one died in the back.
No one-touch rear windows? So what? I can hold down my finger for another 5 seconds...so can a passenger...
And when iDrive debuted in 2001, BMW was nearly universally panned for the system. Now it's the benchmark. BMW is now on iDrive 9, which might as well be iDrive 18...because there's been a "0.5" iteration every year. The fact that Ford is only up to SYNC 4a, kind of explains the issue here. To...
Legally, the OEMs cannot do anything about dealer markups. Franchise laws were established decades ago when the dealer was tiny compared to the OEM, to protect the dealers from price-fixing on the part of the OEM. Now, some 50yrs on, there are public dealer groups that are larger than some OEMs...
Even in FL where you don't get snow, I would argue that a locking rear diff is still valuable. You never know when you're driving situation will cause you to get stuck, either based on road conditions or a mishap. The security of a lockable or limited-slip diff is awesome. Any sort of torrential...
And then this Platinum Raptor would be $70k to start, further blowing the value proposition and further encroaching on the F150 in terms of price/benefit. It doesn't make any sense, at least not to start. Maybe there will be a Ranger Raptor R in the future, maybe not...but if you look at Ford's...
I am sure it will be a conservative bump, because no OEM wants to dealer with a customer-induced headache. I'd wager the tune would primarily up the boost a few PSI, to remain within the turbo's thresholds. Similar to when BMW presented the differences btw the standard M4 and M4 Comp...mostly...
Fabulous Fabrication has hypothesized that the RR runs a closed loop fuel map, and makes adjustments to maintain its settings. They also showed that a cat-back exhaust does nothing other than add sound because Baja mode already makes the stock system essentially free-flow. Similarly, the intake...
I considered making some changes...but it's in too many expensive places: Seats, steering wheel...
The vents are easy enough to either wrap or replace with the standard stuff from other Rangers.
That said, I am tempted to go full retard and track down an MST interior
1) No manufacturer offers all iterations from launch. A given model will be available for 4-7yrs…certain features take time, have to run through all sorts of legal/engineering/accounting hurdles. And then there’s consumer interest. That’s why different paint colors come out at different times...
