Did not know that…and I have the Procal Tune, but don’t run the digital info box. Never mounted it in the truck and it’s just back in the box. Might be worth adding to the interior.
How do you have yours mounted? Or have it in your rig?
Hey that’s my write up! I can attest to the PW crossover kit. Big difference in the size and smoothed out bends of the piping versus the factory Ford plastic stuff.
DAMN!!! Just Wow! Now that’s an impressive & informative write up! Well done & thanks so much for taking the time to do such an in depth & lengthy post.
You’ve definitely given me some things to take pause on & think about the choices I’ve made. Currently running the PW crossover pipe kit, but...
My 2 cents and that’s JUST my 2 cents. Change it early (like now at 2.5K) and switch to full synthetic. If your truck was in my driveway that’s what I’d do. Some may disagree and that’s fine, but you asked so that’s my opinion…..oil changes are cheap insurance.
The Redlines h/s open the hood up a good 3-4” higher over the prop rod as well. It’s just handy not having the prop rod it in the way, but in no way does that mean hood struts are truly necessary.
It’s just a want over need thing for some of us. I wanted them so I slapped a set on. $100 purchase...
YES! Do it! Less than an hour and that’s with the sound deadening. Sounds great! Much brighter & clean. And I do run my stereo settings in surround mode which opens this channel up.
Just do it. You won’t be disappointed!
$228 just for the fronts or for the whole front & back set? I snagged a set around Christmas for $99.99 just for the fronts off of EBay. But they did ship from Weathertech. Might’ve been a holiday promotional deal. Seemed like a deal so I snagged them, now it looks like it really was. My...
The Weathertechs fit like a glove and cover more of the carpet (especially at the pedals) and the side sill plate. Roughly $100 and you’ve got fresh, new, & better mats - that’s just an opinion though.
I replaced one that was going out and kept faulting every time it’d rain on the rear bumper of my previous F-150.
Took all of 2 minutes to replace. Undo the electrical connector and spin or squeeze (can’t remember now) the retainer clip holding the sensor into the housing in its location...
Mockins brand. Bought it off Amazon for $105. Works like a champ! I did have to chop 14” off the straight receiver “stinger” and re-drill the receiver pin hole as it was too long to cradle the ends of the kayaks. But having it shorter works better for carrying 10’ lumber so it’s perfect now.
Take it from me…….you’re gonna LOVE IT! Really “awakens” the 3.0L Eco.
Took mine from a stock wow to a modified RIPPER! If you’re going to make it breathe that much better think about letting it exhale better as well and consider exhaust…………
I installed the PW crossover pipe. Huge difference in the size and how soft and smooth the bends & transitions were. Great kit and easy to install. As far as the air box goes, there’s much debate. A lot of CAI have horrible sealing or moderate filtration and can actually coat the intake pipe...
No I do the same thing! Except it’s when I do an oil change. I drive it up on 4 ramps for the o/c so the entire truck sits 6 1/2” higher. While the oil drains I’ll crawl around to each corner and wipe the Fox suspension (especially the orange bits) down and then hit it real quick with a detailer...
Yeah! I’m in the PNW (1/2 hour out of Seattle) and been waiting for spring to arrive & warm up to sound deaden. It’s just now starting to. I’ve got 5 boxes of Siless brand deadener in the garage. I’ll do all 4 door skins with the dual layer method and then the exposed door panel side sheet metal...
This is EXACTLY what I just did! Hertz shallow mount MPS 2 ohm 10” sub in a Stealthtech box, Sounds Good Stereos Kicker Keyloc kit with p&p harness, AAL aluminum amp rack, and the sub runs off a brand new still in the wrapper made in USA model Rockford Fosgate Punch 300.1 that I’ve been sitting...
Borla makes a set of exhaust tail pipes with black tips separate from the cat to the muffler asy. So it’s easier and cheaper if you’re wanting to just change the tips without messing with the muffler & servos.
I currently run Borla’s cat back ATAK system with the black tips, but they sell it in...
