So was just curious if this would be worth doing,I want to do the PW cross over pipe and a aftermarket filter (K&N,Cobb,AFE etc) I would really like to do a dual box like the one from indicarbon or fabulous but not for 1k so for the time being I'm just a bit curious if this would help at all?

I installed the PW crossover pipe. Huge difference in the size and how soft and smooth the bends & transitions were. Great kit and easy to install. As far as the air box goes, there’s much debate. A lot of CAI have horrible sealing or moderate filtration and can actually coat the intake pipe with a mist of oil which is not good. That does’t mean they’re all bad. It just was too much of a risk for me so I opted to just run a K&N filter in the factory air box. And with the PW intake pipe this thing seems to love it! Along with a CVF stage 1 intercooler & aluminum turbo pipes this 3.0L RIPS!

Here’s the difference in those crossover pipes. You can see for yourself the drastic difference!

Wonder if the PW crossover woudl play nice with the AFE CAI. If one gets there ProGuard 7 filter, this will not flow huge air but will give as good or better filtering then stock paper. I think even there Paper filter woudl be fine.

These are intriguing, I wonder how much more flow I would get with my S&B intake (dry filter). The site says it fits their CAI or stock so I would think the S&B aND AEM should work.

Take it from me…….you’re gonna LOVE IT! Really “awakens” the 3.0L Eco.
Took mine from a stock wow to a modified RIPPER! If you’re going to make it breathe that much better think about letting it exhale better as well and consider exhaust…………

how was the install..
No problem at all. It’s all on the top. No issues or difficulty getting to anything. Hour & 1/2 roughly start to everything cleaned up & put away.

Both and AFE and S&B come with the larger crossover pipe, the S&B one in particular is huge and very smooth. I don't think these pipes would improve on that much and not sure they are worth the cost of an intake if you already have one.

I got the K&N cold air intake, I love it but honestly I wish I had got the s&d cold air intake. The install was difficult and K&A didn’t provide good instructions and the tool to get one of the connections off. And the S$B one does provide the tool.

A good aftermarket airbox, quality filter, and larger pipes definitely helps these RR's breathe easier and "wake up". The problem is the filters though. Very few filter at, or above, the factory paper filter efficiency and when you look at how much that means is getting through to your engine, I wouldn't go near them if you want your engine to last. S&B and aFe were the only ones I could find that filter above the factory filter (with test reports) and only S&B offers a paper version. I went with the S&B CAI, paper extendable filter, and pre-filter "sock" connected to the full PW piping (to turbosmart stage 1 IC).

The S&B crossover pipe is larger than the factory one, but plastic. It's decent quality, but I don't trust the smaller plastic hose fittings vs the higher quality aluminium PW crossover. I picked up an elbow to connect the two and it's been great.

With the S&B airbox side panel off it sounds great and breathes easy. For offroad trips I put the panel back on, and soon I'll add a snorkel connected to the side of the airbox.
