I had actually almost updated that post to include the MPG once I thought about. I always forget about that. I plan to tow 6-6500 lbs. Also the lower payload capacity plays into towing. I do plan to bring my wife and 2 kids (even if i don't want to) so any extra payload helps.

It really is, if I wasn't going to be towing with mine I'd def have opted for a Raptor.

The 1805 is on 4 x2 not 4x4. Other options also bring down the max. I believe my XLT with off road packages and advanced tow package is at 1514 lbs for the payload. It could be more, but that seems to be what I remember by looking at other vehicles with similar options.

Yes the normal engine does a good job. I don't see there being any issue towing with the v6 at all. Just curious of how much payload I'd lose by changing engine. Not a huge deal. I will likely go into the dealership this weekend. $2,100 then losing the $1000 pre-order might make me stick with...

Hrmm, anyone know what the weight different is for the v6 vs 4 cylinder? I'm just wondering how much payload I'll lose. Really the only reason I want it is for pulling the trailer I plan to buy and I think it would be nice for the mountain passes and on ramps.
