It seems to be a hit or miss for years though out fords product line. My wife’s 2018 expedition developed it shortly after purchase, ford corrected it without issue, 50k miles afterwards ran like a sewing machine, zero issues. We trade fairly often, just got her a MY24 expedition, I had no...
Curious what performance tune was installed. Did it get returned to stock tune with cam phaser work or was the performance tune left in? Think I would insist on a whole new engine but I don’t know all the specific details of all the work done
I would suggest you go straight to a ford dealership and talk face to face with the service manager. The Ford social media reps on this forum are noting but data gathers. Good luck, hope your get your concern corrected soon.
Yes, ford has a synthetic blend. Yes, they might say change oil at 10K. That's insanity imo. Ask any knowledgeable/experience mechanic. Do whatever you want, it's your truck. But I'll stick with my previous suggestion.
If you plan on keeping it long term, only Tier 1 brands of premium fuel, 91 or higher and full synthetic motor oil that meets fords oil specs every 5k miles. It’s a turbo charged, direct injected engine, maintenance's is key to longevity
When the ac is on does it blow cold air? A clicking noise could be the compressor/clutch kicking on/off which is normal. If it’s doing it constantly something might need checked. Maybe low coolant in the system? Maybe others will chime in, I’m far from being a mechanic….
Hum so if that truly the case, which I would assume so, are the ones before that date just SOL and have to be updated at owner’s expense or would there be a recall
I’ll second this. Something is NOT right. I would suspect boot or clamps. Let ford deal with it, that’s what warranty is for plus don’t give them a reason to say you didn’t do something right and give you warranty hassles
Awesome. Love that color. Love the Bed Rug. Keep the pictures coming as your progress through your mods. Love to know you MPG averages in different driving scenarios (city, hwy, rural, long hwy trips] I assume it is the standard 4x4 drive train with the 2.7L. What packages did you get...
Yep, understand, it’s really misleading. I chaulk it up to fords cut so many people it’s not caught in a lot of their literature. I wish they would change all the echo boost to port and direct injection, some are most not. It can even vary by vehicle, the new mustang got update 2.3L that is both...
Their were factory drilled holes on each side with rubber covers on my current truck (maverick) which drain out to the ground in the wheel well area (i haven't ordered my ranger yet, i would image there are similar outlets). I love the bed cover, zero issues, top notch quality
Excellent. Thanks for posting. Another proven test to use only Tier 1 gasoline brands. The cheaper brands may save you a small amount at fill up but long term you'll pay in maintenance. As the old saying goes, "Pay me Now or Pay me Later"
