What holds the base part in place to begin with?
Is it glued to the roof top?
What keeps the water out?
It looks like a problem design down the road unless I am missing something.
Having just read this entire thread, it said all I was thinking before reading it. Not all techs are the same, and all dealerships are not the same.
I am going to to have this safety issue fixed at some point because I do not want a close friend hurt or killed because the air bag did not do...
I get 12-14 mpg in the city, and 18-20 on the highway.
No P-Tune and using 87 octane.
This is exactly the same as my 2016 F-50 FX4 with the 5.0 V8,
The RR is "WAY MORE FUN" to drive....LOL
I was really disappointed that they discontinued any Red, or the light Silver for the RR 2025's. It makes no sense to me the regular Ranger can be had in Red, but not the Raptor. That said I was going to get a White one this year, but I ended up with Shelter Green because of cost(dealer markups)...
2025 RR - Built 3-18-25, all steel except the hood. Was surprised about the hood cause it feels heavy enough to be steel like previous trucks I have had.

I can confirm that going through the touch-screen to change your code like the manual tells you does not work. Sure seems like someone dropped the ball on that part of it.
But the instructions above do work provided you have the factory access code card. Take your time, I had to go...
I got my new 25RR last week and the X4S arrived on Sat. Yesterday the install was confusing to say the least when I ran into the 2024 vs. 2025 issue on this bed cover. That's when I went on line and found this thread.

Hopefully since this is right out of the gate they will jump through hoops to fix it for you in short order. Embarrassing to the dealer and to Ford.......who is trying to improve quality control.
