The 25 Tacoma only gets a 7.7. Toyota is so over-rated, but the sheeple still flock to them.

Agree. That's way high, even for a Ranger with OEM wheels. 21-23 MPG would be more normal with stock tires (and yes, maybe some slight anomalies).
How many miles are you getting on a tank?
That doesn't sound promising. I read a bunch a hype online a few years ago that it may make to the States, but that thought seems to have evaporated. It's such a nice looking and probably a solid off-road SUV. It's something I would be very interested in.
I just recently discovered the Ranger Everest and I'm drooling! I want one, but it seems there's only been some chatter a few years ago about bringing it to the US, but that narrative seems to have diminished. I love this thing.
And the new Taco's have transmission issues too! So glad I went over to the Ford dealer before committing to a Taco two years ago. I hated that 6 speed trans when I drove it. Ford just worked so much better in comparison test drives.
Next to your home, vehicles are next on the list for what's called a high involvement purchase and high $$$. Groceries and electronics are much different. OEM's measure lifetime loyalty so it must be important for a brand as consumers typically don't buy a new vehicle that often.
It reminds me of all the dealers I walked into during the pandemic - Ford or otherwise. I would just casually be looking at vehicles in showrooms and salesmen would walk up to me and randomly say "there's a $20K markup on this....etc"....I'd always laugh and tell them I don't do ADM fees and...
On the same list with the rest of us. I use to think the same. I spend x dollars at a dealership over time, heck, there should be a loyalty bonus, right?....Or certainly more attention should be paid to my problem, right?....Nope. It's a sad reality.
