No real update - Ford still doesnt have the part available so I filed a motor vehicle defect notification with Ford and started the legal process of getting reimbursed or a replacement. They advised that I would likely not be able to receive a replacement due to the demand for the truck.
Sorry to hear that and I hope they are able to get those fixed. Those a slew of problems that never should have made it past a QC check.
I am a first time Ford buyer and purchased a Ranger Raptor in June and it has been in the shop since July 30th with a failed instrument cluster, so I feel...
Thanks for the advice there, I do appreciate it. Lemon Law claim will be a last resort, I am hoping Ford will do the right thing and help me either get back into my Raptor or help me get into a new one.
The reality of the situation is Ford is making me fight to get updates, they said they...
I am in a Loaner F-150. The RR is totally drivable, it’s just stuck in the normal drive mode. Like you said, I do have other options to monitor speed and can use the Ford app to monitor fuel levels, so that is certainly an option. I would really only consider doing that if Ford gave me a solid...
I do not believe they are doing anything intentionally, but what is bothersome is that the truck is under warranty, the part isnt available, and they are just telling me to wait. Meanwhile my truck is sitting in a service bay collecting dust and who knows how long it will be before the part is...
100%. My ass is certainly chapped for a few reasons. Mainly that I feel like I am getting the runaround from Ford Customer Service and they dont really care to help get this resolved for me. The other is just bad luck. This is my first Ford ever and of course I get a Lemon.
The truck...
Update: I am being told by Ford that there is a global shortage on the chips used within the Instrument cluster and they have no ETA on when the replacement part I need is available. I was told I have to wait for the part to be available.
This is after I received an update from the Ford...
It is still not fixed, it’s been 20 days since the issue started and 19 days since it’s been in the shop. I am being told that they are waiting on a new instrument cluster to be available and shipped to the dealership. I have also been told that Ford is putting extra effort in addressing these...
Little update: The remote start feature stopped working as well. I dropped it off this AM and they gave me a rental while mentioning they may need to order parts.
What I thought may be a small issue is looking like it might take some time to fix.
I was running some errands this morning and when I started up my RR to head home, the main display didnt turn on like normal. The FordPass app threw some errors, but didnt provide much detail. I am going to try disconnecting the battery and see what happens.
Anyone deal with this before?
