There are threads on the transmission fluid change on ranger5G and bronco forums. Seems buying an aftermarket oil pan with a drain plug is popular. I think I'm just going to suck the 5 quarts out the fill port on the side of the trans with a transfer pump at 30K then pump it out and lower the...
I don't hear wind noise but when I drive with the ventilation off I can feel a slight draft. One of the reasons I bought this truck is I had a bronco an hated the drafts and wind noise.
I had the non cleanable one in my bronco. I sprayed it from the inside out with my compressor and got a little more life out of it. It wasn't much more than the stock filter from the dealer.
I picked up a cheap one from Amazon for $230 an it's about what was shown in the eBay link. the rear corner doesn't match perfect but it seals and works. Looks fine to me for what I paid.
I had a nice flush fit tri fold that had the convenient spring loaded latches that released with a cable...
My guess is a rebuild or overhaul would be disassembling the transmission and replacing all the clutches and stuff. The valve body is bolted inside the trans and controls the shifting. I guess it's considered a "part" so replacing it isn't a rebuild.
It probably doesn't matter but I ran blend the first few oil changes in my 2019. I read about fuel in the oil from the direct injection an I was thinking I'd let the rings break in before switching. In the RR I haven't decided if I'll switch to full after a break in change or two. I don't plan...
I bought a $230 hard cover off amazon an it said it doesn't fit. It's fits, locks out water but the corners aren't a perfect contour on the rear of the bed. I think it looks acceptable for the price.
I bought the 2 or 2.5 ton aluminum one an it's a little big and bulky to carry around all the time. It might work for off road trips. It's not that powerful, I bought a 4 ton to lift the whole side of my '19 ranger for tire rotations but it would handle one corner for a flat change.
I'm thinking about getting this one with the build in safety stand:

Amazon has several. I picked one up for around $16. I changed the fluid in the hydro drives on my zero turn with it. I used it to pump the new 15w50 into the units since the fill ports were on top.
I never used the plastic clip. The valve was up where nothing would hit it. I did stick a bolt in the rubber drain tube I kept attached in case it leaked. I figured I'd see a stain on the garage floor if it did. I never had oil come out of the drain tube before opening the valve.
I had one on my '19 ranger with the nipple for a drain hose. I'd put the hose right in a container and reach up and turn the valve, no skid plate removal. I'd just roll the hose up and lay it on the skid plate between changes.
My uncle retired from body work and used to do paintless repairs for local car dealerships. I was hoping he still had his stuff to hook me up. There was a x dent franchise near me but he closed and sold his stuff off, I bought his shop fan and a few tools.
nice work. I needed that video on removing the door panel. I had my RR about 5 days and some dumb@$$ have me a door ding. Looks like it's right behind the pass door speaker.
