It may have already been said here, but some major wants by potential customers are:
crew cab and 6' bed (potentially tremor package available if that will exist)
sunroofs suck, but some crazy people here want them
rear ac vents like the austrialian ranger
ventilated seats like the european...
As technology improves, so do standard options and prices for what was once expensive drops. Think of the price of TVs over the past 30 years. Far better and more options but a cheaper price.
Because "we didn't have those fancy things" isn't an excuse for why what should be a standard feature...
This is where I'm at as well. Wait for the 2.7 and the hybrid taco. Then test drive them back to back and make a determination. They seem comparable for my reasons, 2wd xlt or lariat vs 2wd sport
NEITHER have rear AC which is very disappointing
This will make the decision hard.
Taco has butt AC, 6' bed option with 4 door, hybrid option, and auto lsd in 2wd
Ranger has a better looking interior but no butt AC, the taco one is only a step behind in the looks department. Ranger bed is 4' between wheel wells, taco might have that too, but...
I'm hoping it is the same or higher than the 2.3
I don't have a need or want for 4wd in this truck, but I do have a need for higher gas mileage. That may be the deciding factor between the ranger and the tacoma, depending on the hybrid specs.
I can't stand seeing things like the Tacoma getting...
The 2.7 in the f150 returns 26 mpg highway iirc.
It could end up being comparable or better than the 2.3 since the ranger is slightly lighter than the f150
So while looking at the specs of the new ranger, it was disappointing to see that the fuel tank size was not increased on the regular ranger at 18.8 gallons.
Then while looking at the ranger raptor, they claim a 20.3 gallon fuel tank. A small increase but begs the question, why not have the...
Same, it doesn't drop below 80F many nights. You get swampy real quick when riding during the summer months of April - December.
Temperature in cars sitting in the sun can be 150+ easily. That doesn't just cool down quickly with 100 degree air from outside.
From Australia, they have them.
If it turns out the US one doesn't get them, I'm going to be pissed. Same with air conditioned seats. This is a very large detractor. Many things pointed to me wanting this truck based on what I've seen from what has been available in other countries...
Awesome they are doing more engine options. Definitely would go with the 2.7.
Bed steps are an option or standard in higher trims?
True fold flat rear is amazing
DAMPED tailgate oh the humanity
Pretty disappointed there's only crew cab and 5' bed but that's not the end of the world.
No rear...
It's been out in ROW for over a year and not even a word about it in the US.
I don't want to reward companies who engage in shitty business practices imo
You are entitled to your opinion, even if it is wrong.
I like this look at least on par with the 5g. I'd argue they understand the US buyer more now because you are supposed to be able to lay a sheet of wood down flat in the bed where the 5g couldn't. So the 5g was the maverick before the (new)...
