My Raptor is at the dealer having the J-braces installed this morning. I have the Diamondback SE being delivered next Tuesday. If it's warm enough to get it installed (Minnesota... currently -1), I'll take some pics next week.
I feel you on the wind chill. Here in Minnesota we had -22 wind chill on -6 dry bulb past couple days. Not much for snow yet. I'll be putting a diamondback cover on my Raptor. It'll be delivered next Tuesday.
yeah I had this same conversation with them, but I pointed out to them that they make the HD for the Short bed Tacoma and the majority of those trims have payload capacities in the 1400 range. Only the 4cyl rear wheel long beds get up over the 1600 lbs that the diamondback is rated for. They had...
Just an FYI, if you're holding out for the HD model to be available, it won't be any time soon. I talked to them on the phone and they said they aren't planning to make the HD for the Ranger due to the bed design and high carrying capacity of the HD (beyond our payload and too much stress on...
Well talk about a let down. I’ve been waiting for the HD, as I will put more than 400lb on top (with j braces of course ?). Why would the HD be any different than the others?! Im not understanding that. Are they just not selling it because of the J brace issue? All they need to do is put a...
Maybe I’m saying something everyone else already knows, or maybe someone else will be helped by this.
I have young kids (at the “I’m afraid of the dark” stage) and driving in rural areas at night they’re often afraid in the dark back seat. I thought the only way to turn on the rear dome light...
I went ahead and ordered them for my Raptor as well. I'm waiting on Diamondback to release a cover for the new Rangers. I called them yesterday and they said they'd release it within the next 2 months, but it would have a requirement / disclaimer that the braces are installed. Like everyone...
I share your thoughts. I popped off the speaker cover and have been hoping someone will manufacture a Molle panel-like cover to replace it using the speaker mounts rather than the plastic clips so we have a surface for accessories.
starting this weekend (grouse opener) I’ll shoot almost every weekend through the end of the year. Grouse, pheasant, wild turkey. Browning Citori Feather Lightning 20ga O/U. Other than that, not much else. I’ll be putting a roof top tent on the back of the Raptor along with a Diamondback cover...
It sure would be nice if there was a Molle-like panel that would replace the center speaker cover (perhaps using the speaker screws rather than the clips) that we all could use to mount accessories.
I also ordered the red back splash guards. They’re great. Installed in 5-10 minutes - incredibly easy. I think they look good too…hardly even notice they’re there.
same…. I’ve been going through that exact same routine for the past 5+ years. It’s awful. I have 2 cars with it and manage to get it down to about $15/month. Always tempted to stop all together though. The music quality, as opposed to plugging in the phone is pretty terrible / lacks depth due to...
you’re right. I’m an idiot. I wonder why it defaulted back to 2 lines. I suppose it’s no different than my ambient lighting that won’t stay on.
When I first got my RR, somewhere in the settings there was an option for how many lines of “favorites” I wanted it to show. Now suddenly I can’t even find that setting and the 3 lines of favorite stations has now just defaulted down to 2.
similarly annoying, when I have a Sirius “alert” for an...
Yeah I saw your post, but I was just wondering specifically if they ran a new power from the battery, or if they were able to use the factory power and fuse already run to the factory amp. I had not yet looked to see what size power / fuse was used and whether it would be adequate. Running...
Agreed! The JL and Rockford options are no slouches, and I bet the casual listener would be plenty happy with the Kicker as well. I do have a question for you though. You had someone else do your install, correct? Do you know if they ran a new power / fuse line from the battery to your amp...
pretty small. I’ll be curious to see which subs get used. I’m thinking the Kicker CompRT would work well at a good value. Otherwise spending twice as much to get the JL TW3 or Hertz MPS 250 (like RRaptor24 did here). The Rockford Fosgate options out there look to want more volume.
Cool - I'm west metro (Lake Minnetonka area). When I brought my truck in to get LineX, I asked if they had seen other Ranger Raptors. He said I was their seventh. So they're out there!
