When I first got my RR, somewhere in the settings there was an option for how many lines of “favorites” I wanted it to show. Now suddenly I can’t even find that setting and the 3 lines of favorite stations has now just defaulted down to 2.

similarly annoying, when I have a Sirius “alert” for an artist or song, when the alert comes up, it shows the artist correctly, but the song and station are always incorrect. So buggy. Next time I’m in my truck I’ll take a picture of this strange anomaly.

anyone else experiencing similar….?

you’re right. I’m an idiot. I wonder why it defaulted back to 2 lines. I suppose it’s no different than my ambient lighting that won’t stay on.

I’d like it if I could get SiriusXM to stop calling me at 7am on Saturday mornings to try and get me to subscribe…

Sirius XM has to have the worst customer service of any company on this planet. Every six months I have to call them and threaten to cancel because they want to charge me $130+ for six months. I call and threaten to cancel and they reduce it to $36 for six months. Every six months we play this game. Gets pretty tiring talking to someone in India who barely speaks English every six months.

same…. I’ve been going through that exact same routine for the past 5+ years. It’s awful. I have 2 cars with it and manage to get it down to about $15/month. Always tempted to stop all together though. The music quality, as opposed to plugging in the phone is pretty terrible / lacks depth due to the compression. But it’s a nice co

There's a 2$ for 3 month deal (~67 cents per month) but you gotta be diligent in cancelling before the 3 months is up so you don't get hit with the $25 charge when the trial concludes. You can just use this promo, cancel the renewal a few days before it ends, and reuse the same promo over and over.

I've also seen people negotiate a $99 / 3 years ($2.75/month) if you can get the right person on the online chat. Those are the two best prices I've seen. After my truck's trial expired, they have been pretty pushy with the $4 / month ($48/year) deal but I knew I could get a better price so I held off on that one until I found that 2$ promo mentioned above.

That has been the dance for the last 15+ years one has to play with them and that will probably never change.

I just used a burner one time use credit card number to keep on file with them that expires before renewal. Cuts down a bit on the back and forth before they capitulate and give me the reduce rate again.

I am not having that issue at least not yet but I have a question. To get a Sirius song to start at the beginning when you change stations, you're supposed to select Tunestart in the settings. I have it selected but songs never start at the beginning like they did in my previous Ram truck. Anyone have ideas?

FYI - SXM had a promo a few years ago for $99 for 3 years and $125(?) for 5 years. I did the 3 years in my Focus and was able to get them to at least match that plan for the Raptor. You may want to ask for that next time.

Edit - secret for SXM, have them cancel the subscription at the end of the plan while you still have them on the phone. I've been doing this for years, and while I may lose a few days of service, I never had to do the cancel/renew dance. Instead, they actively give me the promo rates to get me back.

Found this last month -- you can enable the 3-month free trial that you get when you buy a new car as many times as you want. I used the python script below for both my 2024 Ranger and my other vehicles and it works perfectly. You can either run the code locally or use the replit link to run the code in a browser sandbox. Just input your radio ID.
