Did your ranger come with a lifetime powertrain warranty? My 25 xlt came with it, but I read that it is only offered at āparticipating dealersā.
Either way, I would keep the service record with the techās notes in your records.
Like others have said, 150 miles with unfiltered air on a paved...
I havenāt done it, but from what Iāve been reading the ring and pinion for a m220, m210 will bolt right up to the truetrac limited slip differential.
The locker is stronger than your driveline and u-joints. Per your manual, use the locked differential at speeds under 25 mph.
4 H is for off road use, typically under 55 mph. Do not use 4H on hard pavement, or ice covered pavement at high speeds.
Baja mode is for high speed off road use
Slippery...
I think you have to go up to the Lariat package, at least in 24 and 25 years. Maybe ford will make them standard for all trims some day. My xlt has the 301A, tech, blackout, advanced towing and fx4 packages and still no push to start.
I se this thread is 6 months old, so Iām assuming there havenāt been many people that have re-geared their non raptors. There just arenāt a lot of gear options available right now. Ford performance had gears that were really low, but nothing for medium to higher gear ratios. Same thing for yukon...
I know this is an older thread, but I donāt find it all that odd. Ford, chevy and dodge all had their own variants of the Dana 60 and Dana 44 front and rear differentials for years. I noticed earlier today while looking at ring and pinion sets, that some sets were labeled as GM only, others did...
Your fuel pump is inside of the gas tank. When you put fuel into that tank after running out, the pump will automatically reprime itself. Your truck likely shut down on low fuel pressure before the fuel lines were emptied fully. Any air in the lines will be purged once you refuel and crank the...
While overlanding, youāll be at lower speeds, thus lower gears. The tire size will be less of an issue. You could always change differential gear ratios if you feel underpowered while overlanding. My guess is youāll probably be good. But a taller gear might come in handy in steep or rugged terrain.
The transmission will see the effect more than the rest of the drive train. How much of an affect depends on a lot of things. Mainly how heavy you will be towing, grade you will be towing over, how frequently you tow etcā¦. This highlights the importance of transmission fluid and filter...
I had the weather tech on another vehicle and they fit great and didnāt have any logos molded into them.
the fx4 and dealership badges were removed from my 25 xlt. Iām not big on badges and such on my vehicles either.
This morning, my drivers side window quit coming up all the way when I pulled up on the switch fully. It would come up as long as I held the switch, but stop when I released the switch.
I googled it and found out that there is a reset procedure for the auto window switch. First roll the window...
Iām wondering if there was condensation in the switch from high humidity to, then when the temps dropped, the push button couldnāt make contact to start the vehicle???
Iām about 30 miles east of Acoma and the top picture looks like the same amount of snow that I got. But listening to the local news stations, youād think we were going to get 4 ft of snow. š

I only got an inch here in western NM and wonāt have much left by the time I get out of church. But it will give me the opportunity to see the traction of the wrangler territory tires in light packed snow.
13 deg here this morning. I donāt have push button start, but my truck started with the key and remotely from the fob this morning.
i know this doesnāt apply to your situation, but I never had issues with the push button start on my other vehicles in cold weather.
I test drove a raptor, lariatfx4 and xlt fx4. I hear the raptor guys hailing the ride of the raptor but with my compressed disc in my back, I donāt think I could comfortably ride in one for 12-13 hrs. Iām sure itās off road ride is far superior though. But to me the on road ride of the raptor...
