the KSC270 would work perfectly for what you are after. its a full range speaker which may just lose out on the sparkle of a tweeter but get the vocals out there and a fuller sound. you can put a 400hz bas blocker on the (+) speaker wire to stay well within the freq range of those speakers...

into the final stages now for the first pillar. a little more body work to smooth things out and then deciding whether or not to paint or wrap them. going to temporarily wire the speakers up to factory wiring with a 300hz cap on them (factory tweeter has a 5.6k hz cap if anyone is curious)

they do, drivers side a pillar trim will be caught by the 2 black plastic string looking pieces, and the passenger side gets held in by the grab handle as it should force the trim over the mounting bolts but catch on the handle itself

yeah i saw the recall but havent gotten a letter on it for my truck yet, i think the recall affects the actual structure of the a pillar not the trim. as this peice jist blows off if the airbags deploy and get caught by 2 plastic catch clips.
