  1. Ranger 2.3 FX4 Raptor (ish) grille installed

I would have gotten the grill from them had shipping been cheaper. There’s a lot of cool stuff on their site.
  2. Ranger 2.3 FX4 Raptor (ish) grille installed

Oh- I’ve definitely seen your stuff and I’d love to have some Aussie Ranger parts on my truck, it’s just the shipping to the US can be really expensive.
  3. What did you DO TO your 6G Ranger today? 🧰 🛠️ ⚙️ 🧽

Installed the Rival aluminum engine skid plate. Nice quality and I’m hoping the access panel saves me some time for the next oil change. I purchased the plate from RealTruck because Rival had them on back order.
  4. Another 4wd question. Should Locker be on or off?

I5 in washington state gets lots of cars and trucks in the medians and off into the woods BECAUSE they are all going over 50 on snow covered roads.
  5. Ranger 2.3 FX4 Raptor (ish) grille installed

I installed an aftermarket Raptor type grill on my 2024 yesterday. The only real issue was the locating tabs on the base of the OEM Ford grill. I think I snapped 5 off, which is a bummer because I had planned on selling it. The new grill needs assembly, so you have to mount the Ford...
  6. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

My 2.3 is direct injection only, so I think more frequent oil changes are more necessary than the 2.7. I also think there’s oil analysis date posted in this group about the 2.7s.

  8. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

Oh for sure none of them do, but this is specific to the Ford Ranger. I think that it’s important to change out oil at or before the 1k mark, especially for ecoboost engines.
  9. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

The dealer doesn’t have a schedule , it’s basically an ownership rule of thumb. Theres a possibility of contaminants in the oil after initial manufacture of the engine. Silicone, other gasket materials, metal shavings from the build. There are actual threads where people have cut the...
  10. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

If you think of that center bolt on the aluminum arm as the center up a clock, follow it up on the 1 o’clock axis and you’ll see it. And right beneath the steering knuckle The Fram has the black coating for gripping, makes it harder to see.
  11. My experience with the first oil change- 2.3 FX4

Did my break in oil change yesterday at 966 miles. Went with Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic and a Fram Ultra Guard. The skid plate for the FX4 has 4 bolts. All 15mm. The front of the plate is slotted, so you only need to remove the rear two mounting bolts. Drain plug is also 15mm and the pan is...
  12. Thoughts on this Hard Tri-Fold bed cover, cheap EBAY option

The top surface looks really weird, almost like black astroturf. Let us know how it goes.
  13. What did you DO TO your 6G Ranger today? 🧰 🛠️ ⚙️ 🧽

Port Orchard, WA. Grew up in South Florida, lifelong Panther fan.
  14. OEM Goodyear Wrangler Tires performance - first time in the snow

It's tough to beat any Michelin tire in all around street performance.
  15. OEM Goodyear Wrangler Tires performance - first time in the snow

Definitely would do that if we had long term icy conditions. Sandbags over each tire in the bed usually do the trick
  16. OEM Goodyear Wrangler Tires performance - first time in the snow

If I’m driving on snow or ice, which is rare here, I’m in 4H. Luckily for us, the roads get plowed and it usually warms up in a few days. Maybe 3-4 times a year it gets that way. And yeah, no need to lower psi if I’m just careful.
  17. Howdy everyone!!

Got any pictures of the seat covers?
