I called a dealer by me last week and they had a blue Raptor waiting to be shipped and they were selling at MSRP so I put a deposit down on it. I got lucky I suppose because I didn’t even start looking for them until that day.

So if I buy a bakflip from ford through the dealer they will install the J brace for free? Do I have to have them install the bed cover too or can I do that myself and still get a free j brace?

How large of a hole did you have to drill to feed the connectors through?

Does anyone know or can measure the dimensions of the 3 precut raptor light slots on the grill? My raptor is still on a truck so I can’t.

Well Ford didn’t include J braces but they are needed now for anything over 80 pounds on the rails. Sooo lol. Wouldn’t say they are always right. Especially when Ford isn’t the pinnacle of reliability.

Kind of ridiculous. Ford should at least cover the cost of the product or the install for a poor engineering design. Having to have braces installed after the fact to have a cover is just ridiculous.

The new Taco is breaking axles and having transmission problems. They aren’t bullet proof anymore. Look at Toyotas new gen vehicles. Tundra engines getting replaced with less than 10K miles. All manufacturers have their faults now.

Nothing a dealer is going to be able to do. It’s not a physical switch issue it’s a software issue. Unhooking the battery just reboots the system fixing the issue temporarily. We’ll have to wait for Ford to give a shit and patch the buggy software.

The coating can be buffed off in the area where the decal will be installed and it’ll adhere fine.

Where did you order from? Yours looks perfect. How did you get it without Bakflip branding on it too?
