My 2025 Lariat FX4 randomly changed modes after I flicked the drive selector just once. Unfortunately for me, I've also now spilled stuff on it. 😆 Ford is playing games with people's lives. Report it to NHTSA. They don't understand anything that doesn't hit their bottom line.

Doubt it's going away on the T6/Ranger/Bronco platform. 3.0 will remain the most premium option on these, so the 2.7 is a nice in between.

As someone that dealt with Ford corporate previously related to a botched airbag recall on my Maverick that could have killed me or my front passenger, I can tell you they're worthless.

If you pull the codes, I can almost guarantee you it's failing the self check on one of the wheel speed sensors or wiring. Similar issue on my old Maverick when I unknowingly severed the 22 gauge wire "shielded" by black tape instead of a rubber hose. Built Ford Rough. 😉

It's just a 15w MXT-275 with a Ghost antenna. Nothing crazy. My use case is mostly being able to communicate between trucks I'm with when I'm somewhere in the Cascades. I'll do an install thread once I get it all done.
