1UP, but it has to be lowered for the tailgate to clear. Like @Whyoming I use a blanket to open the tailgate with the rack in its normal position. One thing to be aware of is that the 1UP can swivel far enough up to hit the tailgate. This happened recently after I lubricated the pivot and it...
I guess it would, but I'd have to think about it more. Honestly, I'm not sure we'd ever do a seat delete, but if we did, the dog would be a consideration.
I also would like an option for a dedicated space for our dog. We currently use a dog “hammock.” It covers the whole back seat and makes it hard to get to things under and behind the seats.
Any update on fitment/availability for the 4WD Rangers? I'm getting a little tired of waiting for aftermarket upgrades! I guess that's the downside of buying an unpopular truck.
I think my XLT has this. I don't often parallel park with the truck- if we go into the city we usually take my wife's little Honda. But I mistakenly hit the button the other day and was surprised to see that function come alive. I'll try it one of these days.
I have virtually the same truck. My must-have upgrades were spray-in bed liner, tonneau and better tires. I did those all in the first 6 months. Then I added weather tech mats and the stubby antenna (because I will lift it soon and need a shorter antenna to clear my garage door).

Time will tell, but I'll wait for data rather than get overly worried based on some "expert." The Car Guy really annoys me too. Tons of extreme click bait.
That said, my experience so far is that the Ranger 10R60 transmission is wonky at best.
That was sarcasm, btw. I had a deposit down for a Taco when they started hitting dealer lots and got a refund of that deposit after I test drove and promptly bought my Ranger. It ain't perfect, but I'm not crazy about the Tacos. And even my 2.3L is more peppy than the Tacoma's drivetrain.
For that use case, I'd definitely go Ranger. Have you tested the F150? I was really surprised how much I didn't like driving something that large. As others suggested, take a hard look at the Lariat (or even XLT) Ranger. You'll spend even less and it will do what you want. My XLT has the FX4...
Depends mostly on your use case. I agree that an F-150 Lariat will likely have higher resale than a Ranger Raptor, but I'd focus more on how you're going to use it while you own it than what it will be worth when you're ready to move on. IMO it's too big of an expenditure to focus on resale more...
I've always gone with manufacturer recommendations and never had any issues. I most certainly don't pay attention to any dealership's recommendations. That said, oil changes ain't all that expensive, so if it gives you peace of mind go for it.
@ADVNTURR Rival has your video on their site and it's helping me.
Question for you - you mentioned it's ideal to do this when the tank is low on fuel to make it lighter. Mine is pretty full right now and as I loosened the factory bolt to hang the rival bracket, it was clear to me that the...
