As someone that dealt with Ford corporate previously related to a botched airbag recall on my Maverick that could have killed me or my front passenger, I can tell you they're worthless.

If you pull the codes, I can almost guarantee you it's failing the self check on one of the wheel speed sensors or wiring. Similar issue on my old Maverick when I unknowingly severed the 22 gauge wire "shielded" by black tape instead of a rubber hose. Built Ford Rough. 😉

It's just a 15w MXT-275 with a Ghost antenna. Nothing crazy. My use case is mostly being able to communicate between trucks I'm with when I'm somewhere in the Cascades. I'll do an install thread once I get it all done.

Radio is in the center console. It's super easy to pull up on the cover, starting from the wallet holder at the front and pulling up and slightly back to pop the first clips. I haven't wired it yet, but have ran the antenna through the firewall. I'll likely end up wiring the power to the inside...

I went up 3.6% on tire height on my Maverick and had no issues outside of the small difference in mph and odometer. The windshield camera can easily be kicked into a "learn" mode via Forscan if need be. Then all you need to do is drive it down a marked lane.

Ford corporate is worthless. Is there a diagnostic code coming up? Someone has to have access to the factory service manual...

The 2.7 has been out for over a decade. If cheap oil without the Ford specification printed on the back destroyed engines, we'd have heard about it by now. But we haven't. The Costco/Kirkland/Amazon oils made by the same company are more than fine.

I rarely use it. The part I dislike is Ford continues to cheap out on how it senses if your hands are on the steering wheel. They rely on torque sensing of you turning the wheel left/right instead of pressure on the wheel itself.

If you've input it correctly, you shouldn't see anything but the high beams turning on automatically and adjusting which LEDs are on. Easiest to test it on a road with other vehicles traveling towards you.
