Traded my 24 for a 26. Same truck same options. 301A, Trailer tow (std) and convenience pkg. Missing this year is the trailer brake controller connector, pwr folding mirrors and for some reason the remote start confirmation light on the key fob. Why take away these features?

Ford consistently decontents models. The LED on my 2025 remote is also missing. I thought I was going crazy coming from a 22 Maverick with the same looking key.

Once upon a time, in a Ford Motor Company far, far away, the motto was "Quality is Job 1." Now it is "Pay More, for Less."

They do that with all their lines. Every year, higher price, less features. Happened with the '21 Bronco Sport. Then the '23 Maverick I had, and now the '25 Ranger.

Well, the ‘27 XL comes with the 12” screen and dual climate controls by default, so sometimes they “upcontent” too. But a customer really does have to pay attention to the order guides between years.

Doesn’t the Convenience package in the ‘26 include the 400w inverter in the bed, or is that just in the cab?

When you buy off the lot or special order you need to know all the packages and what you want and what you do not. To make sure you get what you want and need.

I am keeping my 2024.
As time passes I am more comfortable buying a 2024 Lariat model even considering it has DI only. Buying a 2024 model (with 2/3s of the factory warranty remaining) for around $17k less than a new equally optioned 2025 or 2026 pays for a lot of walnut blasting. The projector headlights are fantastic and were dropped with the 2026 MY among other options.

The downside of the 2024 MY is that finding one with a V6 engine is difficult. I searched within 300 miles of my location for a 2024/2025 in my price range for over a month and nothing came up. Fortunately, I have found the 2.3L to have plenty of power for my needs and it gets great gas mileage.
