My wife just did the Alpine loop in our RR. Glad I relocated the trailer harness as the bracket got smashed. Also glad I put on the full compliment of Rival skid plates and FMI skids. She had a great time despite the rain and some slippery conditions.
Good question. Per the installation instructions I lifted the vehicle by the rear diff. Even used multiple jacks and stands to release spring tension both with and without the tire on.
That aside, the FMI rear shock skid plate wouldn’t clear the wheel and tire due to its width without rubbing.
The good news on the 2025RR there is a pretty substantial bash plate already on the rear shocks so the FMI rear Shock Skid kit might be overkill. I got the FMI lower arm guards too and the install was pretty straightforward, although I did break the "flag" off the flag bolt on the...
Anyone add the FMI 2024 RR Rear Shock Skid Kit to their 2025 RR? SKU: FMI050120030130101
I had two issues that prevented installation, one was “fit” and one was not being able to realign the shock to the axel.
I was never able to get these to fit on my 2025 RR. The clearance between the...
The first shop I went to didn’t install it and was really uncertain of the process. Luckily I live in a place that has more than one dealer close by and a second shop was familiar with the install having done 1 last year. I’m not sure why this seems like such a pain other than maybe these shops...
Agree with others, that putting it in “sport” mode made the tune more apparent. The shifting on mine was obviously different and torque felt stronger immediately. I’m about 150miles post-tune and things seem stable. It doesn’t turn the truck into a corvette but it definitely gives more “punch”...
I just installed mine and they definitely require modification to install and are not plug-n-play. Heck, I had to sand the center light down to make it thin enough to fit into the grill slot and didn’t stick out 1/2 an inch. Also had to “wallow” out the holes to get the wires fished through. The...
I bought one and had it installed by Ford. At its high price point its hard to give it a glowing review. The release mechanism to get it to swing on mine requires quite a bit of force and anything really heavy in it makes that worse. Overall, its fairly sturdy, fits the truck well, and keeps...
I reached out to my dealer and they are working to confirm they can do it. I shared the link to the specs that have been updated. They said I’d hear more on Monday when they talk to the head service manager.

It’s funny, we have noticed the doors not closing without extra oomph on our RR. I thought we were just getting old! I notice it most on whatever is the last door is that we close, like the air seal in the truck is too tight or something.
As a versatile vehicle that does a little bit of everything very well the RR is a great choice IMO.my good experiences are:
1) The weight, size, and height of the RR make it feel more like a “muscle car” than a “sports car”, almost like a grand touring vehicle (even without the v8 growl the v6...
