Possibly a bit of a thread necro at this point, but wondering if you got your license yet, and whether you figured out a rig for your ranger?
I'm thinking to do something with the AAL overhead mount, and go with a detachable faceplate unit like the Yaesu FT-891. I'm at the very early end of...
It was a hard top. My perception was that most of the wind noise was coming from the square-ish front of the vehicle rather than the top itself. For comparison, I have a stock 2006 ragtop Mustang GT which is far quieter.
Similar to cc1999's comments, I test drove both and found that the bronco had significant wind noise at highway speeds. I'm sure it's more capable offroad, especially with the breakover angle but realistically I'm going to be 90% on road/10% off.
Well pls do share what the dealer does; the warranty is supposed to cover manufacturing defects that show up as cracking, peeling, delaminating, dulling, etc.
I love the bronco looks and thought I was dead set on getting one…until the test drive. The wind noise at highway speeds is just really bad. I could not imagine a long cross country trip in the Bronco
so far, loving my Ranger Raptor.
I have so many questions on this. Have never undercoated a vehicle before; always held them relatively short term until my 2006 Mustang which I still have.
it seems the manufacturers tend to specify Noxudol when they do specify something. It’s a combination chemical anti-rust agent and waxes...
Thanks for sharing the symptoms. I also have the 4DTech and it's been pretty flawless - however, I had what I thought was an HVAC issue (would not blow warm) afterwards but with more driving it turns out that's not the case.
Bravo. Simple and a nice, tight installation.
I haven't seen a tailored/tuned mount specifically for this location on the Rangers out there anywhere else (which is probably what prompted you to do this custom one). Can you share the design files (if you designed this with CAD)? Also, any...
I do notice some signal loss with the stubby jr. AM stations have more static, and FM digital goes quiet for a few moments at a time when it loses signal.
All in all, I will keep it because it's a decent tradeoff for not hitting the garage door and I'm often just using carplay spotify anyway...
In the end, I removed the decals on the sides of the bed, but am keeping the badge on the tailgate.
In truth there are a ton of definable features that make a Raptor a Raptor, e.g. the unique flared fenders, the Raptor stamped into the running boards, the hood "air scoops," the whole...
Thanks. I would think dental floss would be too fragile - hell, it snaps trying to floss my teeth half the time. I wonder if fishing line would work (wrapped around a couple pieces of dowel for leverage). The string on this product you shared has a braid, which would provide a tiny bit of...
I also live in a front-license-plate state. OP could you share a picture of the flip-up front plate that was mentioned?
I like this bumper as well, and already have a winch sitting in the garage waiting to be used (it came off my '94 Ranger--and refuses to go on anything that doesn't start...
Ah, fond memories of the Ford test track…
But did nobody tell the engineers that track times are not that relevant for a Baja rally race? Completely different conditions.
